Zoomenu for dogs

The listed types of "ZooMenu" food represent a gradation within each line, depending on the individual characteristics of pets (age, activity level) and granule size (from 6 to 20 mm). For example:

  1. Junior (for puppies and juniors).
  2. Mini (for small breeds).
  3. Medium (for adult dogs of medium and large breeds).
  4. Active (for animals with increased activity or kept outdoors).
  5. Sensitive (for sensitive digestion, allergies).
  6. Maxi (for large and giant breeds).

All ZooMenu dry pet food is packaged in kraft paper bags with a laminated inner lining. The range includes packages ranging from 800 g to 18 kg.

Feed composition

According to the manufacturer, only domestically sourced, natural ingredients are used in ZooMenu dog food. The protein and fat ratios vary depending on the diet, and information about these factors is included on the packaging next to the name.

Squirrels

Meat components (both dehydrated and fresh) are listed first on the ingredients list, serving as a source of animal protein. However, in most products, the manufacturer does not specify the percentage of any particular type of meat. Depending on the diet, ground meat (beef trimmings, tripe), beef, lamb, poultry, and salmon are used as the protein base.

Carbohydrates

The formula does not contain wheat, soy, or corn, which are considered potential allergens for animals. Two types of grains (white and brown) are used. This grain is considered one of the best sources of carbohydrates and has a low glycemic index. Furthermore, brown rice is easier for animals to digest and absorb, preventing constipation. Grain-free diets also include potatoes and peas.

Fats

The fat source is beef tallow, which is considered healthier than chicken fat. However, the preservation method is not specified, which does not rule out the use of chemicals for this purpose. Some diets use animal fat (without specifying the source material) or salmon oil. Flaxseed is an additional source of fat. It provides omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, essential for healthy fur and immune support.

Additional components

Depending on the diet, the following are added to the composition of Zoomenu:

  • Dry sugar beet pulp is a source of fiber.
  • Chicory is a source of the prebiotic inulin to maintain normal intestinal microflora.
  • Collagen, chlucosamine and chondroitin sulfate are supplements for the health of ligaments and joints.
  • Bran is another source of fiber for stimulating intestinal function, but it is contraindicated for dogs in large quantities. Furthermore, the manufacturer does not specify the type of bran (rice or corn).
  • Basulifor Zh is a supplement with probiotics and enzymes to support digestion processes and strengthen the natural immunity of animals.
  • Herbal additives – Jerusalem artichoke, chamomile flowers, rosemary extract.
  • Vitamin and mineral components are added to compensate for mineral and vitamin deficiencies in the raw materials used. This is not an indicator of low quality, but rather due to the specifics of dry food production.

ZooMenu dog food is manufactured according to GOST R 55453-2013, which does not exclude the presence of artificial flavors and colors. However, the packaging does state that it does not contain such ingredients. Furthermore, the manufacturer does not disclose the preservatives used, without which the long shelf life (18 months) would be impossible.

Reviews

Nikolay, veterinarian:

"ZooMenu dry dog food comes in a wide range of flavors. You can also choose a diet tailored to your pet's individual needs (health, activity level). For owners of older pets, dry food with glucosamine and chondroitin is a good option. The Fresh line of grain-free and low-grain diets is also worth a special mention."

Evgeniya:

"We decided to try 'ZooMenu Mini' for our Pekingese. We're still buying it, especially since it's affordable. We like the absence of the usual, but so unhealthy, corn, soy, wheat, chicken giblets, and other ingredients. The dosages listed on the packaging are enough to satisfy our active Buddy. So, the food is quite filling. He hasn't had any problems since then, his stool is normal, and his health is also good."

Michael:

"We tried a small package of Zoomenu with beef and tripe. The inclusion of rice was a key factor in our choice, as our dog is allergic to wheat. Overall, the ingredients are satisfactory. The only concern is the lack of information on the percentage of ingredients, which is unusual for super-premium foods. From the very beginning, our dog has been eagerly chewing the kibble, is active, and doesn't shed. Now we always buy the larger package, which is quite a good deal."
