Wildcat - cat food
Wildcat, a brand of food from HealthFood24, offers complete nutrition for cats in various forms. Manufacturing is located in the UK, and the formulas are developed by German nutritionists with cats' natural needs in mind. The super-premium label guarantees high-quality ingredients and a balanced formula to support animal health at all stages of life.
Product range
Wildcat products are available in three forms:
- Dry food in 500 g and 3 kg packages.
- Pouches in soft packaging, 100g.
- Canned food in iron cans of 200 g.
The "drying" packaging is equipped with a special valve to remove oxygen, and the three-layer structure of the bag itself provides reliable protection from moisture and sunlight to maintain the freshness of the food even during long-term storage.
Each product is a grain-free, balanced diet primarily for adult pets (with the exception of one option for kittens). The formulas are based on animal protein sources, using exclusively natural meat and fish. Some rare meat varieties are also included. These may be added to more traditional ingredients or form the basis of the food.

Wildcat diets are available in the following flavors:
- Hamra (quail).
- Etosha (chicken and cranberry).
- Tanganika (trout and sweet potato).
- Serengeti (5 types of meat).
- Andhra (fish, pumpkin).
- Bhadra (horse meat).
- Rani (duck, pheasant).
- Cheetah (turkey, venison and salmon).
- Kitten Karoo (chicken, rabbit, turkey): for kittens.
The Skipjack snacks line is another wet food option. They are canned tuna-rich foods with various flavors (beans, apple, papaya, shrimp, and salmon).
Composition analysis
For a detailed analysis of the ingredients, let's look at Wildcat Bhadra, a dry cat food with horse meat and sweet potato, which is unusual for cat food. Using only one type of animal protein, it can be classified as a single-protein product. It is especially suitable for pets with allergies not only to grains but also to common meats (such as chicken).

The feed formula includes:
- Squirrels. The first two ingredients listed are horse meat (apparently fresh) and dried horse meat, at 29.5% and 25.5%, respectively. These ingredients form the basis of the feed and provide a high overall content of animal protein sources (55%). Horse meat itself is rich in amino acids, fatty acids, iron, vitamins, and minerals.
- Fats. Horse fat is used as the fat source—a valuable ingredient rarely found in other manufacturers, which complements the product's single-protein formula. Flaxseed is an additional source of essential fatty acids.
- Carbohydrates. Their source is sweet potato (19%), an easily digestible vegetable ranked third in the nutritional composition, which, judging by its listed content, complements the base of the food. Although the packaging states "low carb," the manufacturer does not list the total carbohydrate content of the food.
- Vegetable, berry and herbal supplements. Pumpkin (7.3%) is the main vegetable, a low-calorie vegetable that, due to its lack of coarse fiber, is suitable for animals with sensitive digestive systems. Dill, spinach, parsnips, parsley, blackberries, raspberries, black currants, elderberries, chokeberries, beets, and others also have a beneficial effect on the animal's health to varying degrees.
- Additional components. Catnip is used as an unusual flavoring, likely replacing the more common flavor enhancer—animal protein hydrolysates. Tominambur concentrate (Immutop) is a source of inulin and prebiotics, which have beneficial effects on the digestive system, heart, liver, and vascular health. Fructooligosaccharides and mannanoligosaccharides help strengthen the immune system, develop beneficial intestinal microflora, and reduce the concentration of pathogenic microorganisms.

Advantages and disadvantages
Among the advantages of Wildcat food, it is worth highlighting the following features:
- high content of natural meat components;
- indication of the percentage content of components that make up the basis of the feed;
- grain-free formula;
- balanced vitamin and mineral composition;
- supplements to support the digestive system;
- absence of synthetic vitamins, flavors, preservatives, cheap vegetable oils.
The food has no significant drawbacks. Factors that may be a drawback for consumers include the high price (even considering its super-premium status) and its limited availability in pet stores, particularly brick-and-mortar stores.

Reviews
Svetlana:
When we got a second cat, we had a hard time getting him used to dry food; he turned his nose up at everything. The store assistant recommended trying Wildcat, and we settled on the duck and pheasant version. It's clear the cat is satisfied with the recommended portion and doesn't follow you around begging for more. For me, this is a sign that the ingredients are truly real meat, so even a small portion is enough to satisfy.
Rita:
We spent a long time searching for the right food for our cat with allergies. But even the most well-advertised foods only made things worse. The vet recommended a protein food our pet had never tried before. Our search led us to the unusual Wildcat Bhadra with horsemeat. Her allergies are finally gone. She eats with gusto, her coat is in great condition, and her activity level is normal. I'll definitely recommend her to my friends.
Maria:
After a couple of weeks of feeding Wildcat, my cat's bowel movements improved, the shedding stopped, and the reddish tint disappeared. The food itself is fairly large, dark brown kibble, which my cat chews easily. Upon opening the package, the aroma of natural meat with a slight herbal scent is distinct. The price is a bit steep. I have to order the food online; I haven't seen this brand in my city yet. I buy the larger package, which is more cost-effective.
