General description
The food supplement is produced as a white, finely dispersed powder, packaged in polyethylene bags or plastic jars of varying capacities. For dogs, the powder is typically purchased in bags, as the product has a shelf life of only 15 days after opening. Therefore, purchasing a jar may be impractical, as any remaining product will simply have to be discarded.
The feed supplement is available in four variants: Vetom 1.1, 2, 3, and 4. The only differences between the formulations are the beneficial bacterial strains that provide the beneficial effects. Overall, they have similar principles of action and properties, but minor differences allow for the selection of the medication for specific conditions. Specialists from the Research Center, LLC, worked on the development of this medication.
The powder is odorless and water-soluble. When preparing the solution, a sediment may appear at the bottom. This is due to the starch, which is included as an excipient. The formula also contains sucrose, which helps the bacteria retain their properties for a long time. However, they are activated upon entering the intestines.
The powder can be stored for two years from the date of manufacture. Always check the manufacturing date printed on the packaging. No special storage conditions are required. The ambient temperature should not exceed 30˚C, although freezing the product is also not recommended. Low temperatures can be detrimental to bacteria.

How it works
The key feature of all Vetoms is that they contain acid-resistant bacteria. When they enter the digestive system, they are not destroyed by gastric juices, and therefore penetrate unimpeded into the intestines. In the intestines, they become activated and begin to multiply. As a result of their activity, they release enzymes, amino acids, and other beneficial substances.
Spores of beneficial bacteria have the following effects on the animal's body:
- increase the body's resistance to the effects of various negative factors;
- strengthen the immune system at the cellular level;
- displace and suppress the activity of pathogenic microorganisms;
- have an antiviral effect;
- stimulate tissue regeneration;
- improve growth and development;
- restore metabolism, improve the absorption of vitamins and other beneficial substances in the intestines;
- normalize the functioning of the digestive system;
- provide allergy resistance;
- regulate stomach acidity;
- restore beneficial intestinal microflora.

Price
The price of Vetom depends on the package size:
- 5 g – 15-20 rubles;
- 50 g – 140-170 rubles;
- 500 g – 640-680 rubles.
The veterinary labeling of the drug is irrelevant. The feed supplement is sold in regular veterinary pharmacies and on specialized online portals.
Indications for use
A feed supplement containing beneficial microorganisms is used to treat a variety of ailments. When selecting a product, its characteristics and intended use must be considered.
Vetom 1.1
The product's key feature is its bacteria, which promote the synthesis of interferon, a special protein that boosts the animal's immunity. It is successfully used in dogs with immunodeficiencies caused by various factors. It can also be used for the following health problems:
- oncology;
- plague, parvovirus enteritis, coronavirus and other viral diseases;
- various infections;
- prolonged diarrhea and digestive system dysfunction;
- respiratory diseases, etc.
In most cases, the feed additive is used as an adjuvant. In malignant tumors, it helps reduce complications after chemotherapy, initiates regeneration processes, and increases the chances of survival or prolongation of life.

Vetom 2
According to the instructions, Vetom 2 for dogs is typically used to improve intestinal function. The bacteria contained in the formula have antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and immunostimulating effects. This type of powder stimulates intestinal function and helps eliminate putrefactive processes. It is prescribed for the following conditions:
- with hepatitis;
- for peptic ulcer;
- for gastritis;
- with liver cirrhosis;
- for dysentery;
- for salmonellosis;
- for constipation;
- for diarrhea and other diseases of the digestive system.
Vetom 3
Vetom 3 is used in dogs for digestive system disorders, including those caused by infections. It can be effective for diarrhea, dysentery, gastroenteritis, peptic ulcers, and other conditions.
The feed additive is also used for the following purposes:
- stimulation of puppy growth;
- treatment or prevention of immunodeficiencies;
- treatment of allergies and respiratory diseases.
This type of nutritional supplement is often used for young puppies. From birth, the powder is given to stimulate growth and proper development and strengthen the immune system, which will protect against infectious and viral diseases. It is also used to prevent digestive problems, for example, during weaning or a change in diet.

Vetom 4
It is used in dogs to restore intestinal function and other digestive system organs. It is successfully used for conditions associated with metabolic disorders. The dietary supplement can also be used to stimulate growth and accelerate recovery after serious illnesses. Beneficial microorganisms suppress the activity of viruses and pathogenic bacteria, making Vetom 4 a suitable component of comprehensive treatment for infectious and viral diseases.
Important! The instructions state that any type of Vetom can be used for dogs with dysbacteriosis, including after antibacterial therapy.
Instructions for use in veterinary medicine
This dietary supplement is easy to use, as it can be added to food or dissolved in water, milk, or other liquids. The average single dose is 50 mg of powder per 1 kg of body weight, but a slight excess is acceptable. Overdosing does not cause any side effects.
The regimen for using Vetom for dogs depends on the nature of the health problems:
- If it is necessary to restore bowel function, the powder is given 2 times a day for 20-22 days.
- To strengthen the immune system, a 5-10-day course is sufficient. Depending on the animal's condition, the medication is administered 1-2 times per day.
- For the treatment of viral and infectious pathologies, as well as diarrhea, the supplement is administered every 8 hours. If symptoms are severe, the interval between doses is reduced to 6 hours. Treatment is continued until the pet's condition stabilizes.
- When used for prophylactic purposes, the drug is given once a day for 10 days.

Vetom 1.1 and other varieties should not be heat-treated. The powder should be added to cold or warm (liquid) food.
In cases of severe dysbacteriosis, rectal administration of the feed supplement is permitted. Before the procedure, the animal is given a cleansing enema, followed by administration of the powder diluted in warm water. The dosage is the same as for oral administration.
This dietary supplement has no contraindications. It can be used for puppies from birth, as well as for pregnant females, elderly, and weakened animals.
Please note! It is not recommended to use Vetom simultaneously with antibiotics.
Owner reviews
Oksana, the pointer's owner:
"When moving to a new home, the dog experienced severe stress. As a result, her digestive system suffered serious problems. We couldn't get rid of the diarrhea on our own, so we consulted a vet. Furthermore, her fur became dull and began falling out. After an examination, we were prescribed Vetom 1.1 and brewer's yeast. Her gastrointestinal function was completely restored. She became active again, and her fur gained a healthy shine. The treatment, while not exactly inexpensive, is effective."
Gennady, owner of a Pomeranian:
"Our dog has a very sensitive digestive system. The slightest change in diet and he's guaranteed to have prolonged diarrhea. Vetom is a real lifesaver for us. By the way, we've tried several different options, and they all work great. We always keep a couple of packets in our first aid kit."

Veterinarian Reviews
Yana, a practicing veterinarian from a Saratov clinic:
"Vetom is an excellent feed supplement. I've been using it in my practice for a long time. I'm convinced of its effectiveness from personal experience. It helps relieve diarrhea and other digestive issues. I've also experimented with its use for viral diseases. I noticed that the animals recovered faster and had a lower risk of complications. And the main advantage is that it's completely safe, even in case of overdose."
Valentin, a veterinarian with 12 years of experience:
"I'm not generally a fan of dietary supplements, but Vetom is an exception. Its effectiveness has been proven in practice. Few people know that the product was originally developed for humans, but it turned out to be easier to patent for animals. Many people use it, even though the instructions are written for animals. It's certainly not a panacea, but it's good support for the animal's body."

An 11-year-old Veterinary Ovary (VEO) was choking on white foamy vomit, refusing to accept food or water. The veterinary clinic kept diagnosing him, dragging him out for IVs and treatments every day at 4,000-5,000 rubles. The dog was almost buried. A colleague at work recommended this powder. After just three days, the dog stopped vomiting water, and after five days, he ate his first spoonful of food. After 10 days, he started eating properly, forgetting about the vomiting and pain.

Are you nuts? The instructions say 50 mg per 1 kg of body weight, not 5 g. That's a 100-fold difference.
