Documents issued by a veterinary clinic and not only
In real life, there are situations when cats require actual documents, just like their owner's. A cat owner should think about these documents in advance.
Content
The very first document
This is a passport issued to a kitten by a veterinarian. With this passport, the owner and their pet must visit the veterinarian once a month.
What's recorded in the passport? The cat's name, breed, and age. Also, the name and address of the pet's owner. The passport has a special page where you can paste a photo of your pet. The veterinarian also records vaccinations, various medical procedures, and the mandatory rabies vaccination.

Travel ticket
If the owner and their pet are planning a plane or train trip, they'll need a ticket. It's the same as a human ticket. It must be purchased at the ticket office. To purchase one, you'll need a certificate from a veterinarian or the cat's passport.
Certificate
If you decide to travel abroad with your cat, you'll need another document. Even if no one will issue a visa in your cat's passport, you'll be asked to provide an international veterinary certificate at the border.
Microchipping
This is the most modern way to "identify" your pet. A microscopic chip is painlessly implanted under the furry creature's skin. This tiny device contains a number that can be easily "read" with a special device. This number allows you to quickly find out your pet's name and address.

Pedigree
A very important document if your cat is purebred. A pedigree is a document that confirms your pet's descent from purebred parents. This valuable document is an extract from the Stud Book. It describes all the requirements that may be imposed on cats of a particular breed. It also clearly lists the cats that belong to that breed. The document must include the cat's name, breeding number, and gender. It must also include the cat's date of birth, breed name, and a description of its appearance. Furthermore, several generations of the cat's ancestors must be listed.
Exhibition Certificate
This is the pride of every owner. A document confirming that their pet has participated in a cat show. There's no limit to the pride if the cat has won a prize, or several, at the show. Even better if there have been several shows and several wins!
That's how many documents the furry, whiskered inhabitants of our apartments can have. And yet, it's not the number of documents that should make an owner happy! The main thing is to love your pets. And then, your pet will be the most beautiful, the most affectionate… without any pedigrees or shows.

If your pet requires any of these documents, feel free to contact our veterinary clinic.
