Reviews
Irina Valerievna Davydova, veterinarian
In my practice, I frequently prescribe antibiotics to dogs. I consider Ciprovet to be one of the best, as it exhibits high activity against most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Compared to other antibacterial drugs, it has fewer contraindications and rarely causes side effects. When administered orally, Ciprovet is rapidly absorbed, reaching its maximum blood concentration within 2 hours. One of its advantages is its prolonged action—Ciprovet tablets are administered to animals only once a day.

Our Yorkshire Terrier, Johnny, developed conjunctivitis in his old age. His eyes were severely inflamed and oozing pus, making it painful to look at, and he was constantly squinting. The veterinarian prescribed Ciprovet drops and a chlorhexidine eye rinse. We administered the drops by gently pulling down the lower eyelid, three times a day, one drop in each eye. This combination of treatments, administered over a 10-day period, yielded positive results: Johnny's eyes looked much better, the purulent discharge disappeared, and the redness subsided. The pain also noticeably decreased.

About three months ago, my spaniel Nora's eyes started to become infected, with crusts forming on her eyelids. This was especially noticeable in the mornings. We tried home remedies, rinsing Nora's eyes with tea every morning. When there was no improvement after a week and a half, we took her to the vet. The doctor said it was blepharitis, most likely infectious, and prescribed eye drops For animals, it's Ciprovet. We had to use the drops 3-4 times a day for at least a week. We noticed an improvement almost immediately, although our dog clearly didn't enjoy the procedure; the sensation was apparently unpleasant. We used Ciprovet for 10 days, and all signs of blepharitis completely disappeared. There were no side effects, and Nora's vision remained intact.
