Report on the annual dog show Rostock in 2015
The stunning all-breed dog show, Rostock 2015, concluded with a bang. And it's no surprise. After all, not only did you admire the beauty of the four-legged participants, but you could also watch a master class with trained dogs and buy something tasty or healthy for your pet.
The International Dog Show has been held in Rostock, Germany, annually since 2011, generating immense interest among both professional breeders and ordinary dog lovers. This year, the show, held from October 3rd to 4th, was attended by over 13,000 people.
The sheer scale of the event amazed even the most discerning attendees. More than three thousand dogs from around the world competed for the show's top prizes: best puppy, best junior, best pair, best veteran, and, of course, the title of Best in Show, which crowns a dog as the "king" or "queen" of beauty. A total of 1,954 dog breeds were represented at the show. The largest representation of four-legged participants, of course, came from Germany (two-thirds of all entries) and Denmark (16 percent of all entries).
Thanks to their owners, handlers, and show organizers, the dogs maintained a truly "Olympic" calm. They rarely barked, obediently lay on their mats, dozed in their cages, or stood in the show ring before the strict judges evaluating their conformation.

New products presented at the exhibition
The exhibition featured not only well-known dog breeds such as German Shepherds, Poodles, and Yorkshire Terriers, but also rare breeds.
Danish breeder Pia Christiansen brought several dogs of the very beautiful and rare Volpino Italiano (Italian Spitz) breed to the show. The most popular colors of these dogs are white—there are 2,000 of these beauties worldwide—and red—only about 50. Pia Christiansen told reporters that her Volpino Italiano kennel recently had red-haired puppies, which is quite rare.
The babies' father, two-year-old Bali Dell Antonazzo, was asleep while his owner spoke to reporters, waiting his turn to enter the ring.
Here, you could also discuss with other dog lovers the care, training, and treatment of your pets, learn from leading breeders, or share your own experiences. And those looking for a loyal companion could choose an interesting breed.

Reviews of the exhibition "hot on the heels"
Many participants and guests of the exhibition noted the amazing atmosphere that reigned there.
"The show was simply amazing! We really want to get a Cane Corso, and we met a wonderful breeder here, from whom we'll get a puppy. And next year we'll be back with our new family member," says Klaus Schmidt from Güstrow, Germany.
The exhibition included a master class for trained dogs. The animals performed tasks on command from their owners. interesting and difficult tricksThe audience greeted and saw them off with a thunderous ovation.
"Even though I've seen many similar shows, I never cease to be amazed and delighted by what dogs can be taught. It's truly rewarding to watch the courage and drive with which they do it all," noted project director Katrin Schemann.
And it's hard to disagree with her words, because this competition became the highlight of the big canine festival in Rostock and brought many positive emotions to all its participants and spectators.
Participants of the exhibition
The stands of various companies selling dog products were packed. More than 60 companies presented their products. The selection was so wide that those looking to buy something for their pets were spoiled for choice. There were dog pillows, huge chew bones, delicious dog food, and new comfortable leashes—in short, everything needed for the comfort of our beloved pets. Incidentally, some guests came to the exhibition in Rostock specifically to buy for their pooches.
Among them is Sandra Kruse from Rügen. "Every year I have a wonderful shopping spree here. This time, I want to buy my Rudi (a Rhodesian Ridgeback) a new car cushion and a big pack of delicious pig's ears. I've already bought him a light-up collar for our winter walks. So my trip here wasn't wasted," says a delighted Sandra.
Other guests also loved the Emmi Ultrasonic ultrasonic toothbrush for dogs. The makers of this innovative product promise that it will easily eliminate bad breath, make brushing easier and less time-consuming, and save both owner and dog stress. It's no secret that not all dogs enjoy having their teeth brushed.

The exhibition finale: the most anticipated event
The highlight of the show was undoubtedly its finale, which generated incredible excitement among the audience. Here's a brief overview of the journey these four-legged beauties took. First, the dogs competed by breed: males and females were shown separately. Then, in a thrilling battle, the best of breed was determined. The penultimate stage before the main finale was the determination of the best in 10 breed groups, a fascinating event to watch. And perhaps some have already guessed the top contenders for the overall victory.

The final battle for the Best in Show title was a dramatic and spectacular one. Spectators in the stands watched the outcome tensely, cheering for their favorite. The final judge struggled to choose a winner. Ultimately, he settled on a male Afghan Hound named Agha Djari s Blue Sted. This dog won the Grand Winner's Cup and the title of Best in Show, delighting both her fans and her owner, Karin Goessling from Bohold, Germany.
The wonderful canine festival in Rostock concluded, leaving no one indifferent. For some, it brought a flood of joy from the new purchase of a beloved friend, while for others, it brought disappointment from the loss of their beloved pet in the finals.
We're all eagerly awaiting the next international all-breed dog show in Rostock. It will take place from October 1st to 2nd, 2016, and will offer us a new and unforgettable experience.
