A social network for helping cats

A social network helping homeless cats find caring homes has appeared in Europe. It's called Socialcatwork. The online project is currently in development, but promises to soon go international.

Project objectives

The founders of the new online resource are web designer Daniel Mayer and veterinarian Karina Pap. "The problem of stray cats is a pressing issue in Europe. We want to bring together people who care about the fate of these unfortunate furry creatures. That's why we created our website," explains Daniel.

How the social network works

The Socialcatwork network will be available to smartphone users. Registration is quick and easy. Cat finders post a brief description of the cat in their personal account: a photo of the animal, its age, breed, health, and temperament.. This data will be visible to all users.

The main goal of the Socialcatwork portal is to find good homes for as many cats as possible.

The animals need all the help they can get. Volunteers buy dry food for the whiskered creatures, vaccinate them, and find temporary foster homes for them. The website's creators intend to actively engage veterinarians, animal rights activists, and ordinary cat lovers in their efforts. Internet users are eagerly donating to this charitable project. The fundraising campaign ends on February 2, 2016. If the organizers manage to raise the required amount, the website will be fully operational.

Socialcatwork users will be able to choose a furry pet that will fill their home with joy.
