Content
General description
Rolf 3D is available in the following forms:
- drops for external use;
- spray;
- collars.

The active ingredients are the same, but each dosage form has its own characteristics. This variety allows dog owners to find a convenient remedy against ticks and other external parasites.
Spot-on drops
The solution, intended for external use, appears as an oily liquid. It is light yellow in color and has a distinctive odor. Rolf Club tick drops are convenient for use on dogs, as they are packaged in disposable polymer pipettes. Each pipette contains 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2.5, and 4 ml.
When purchasing, simply select a dropper with the appropriate volume for your pet. The cardboard packaging usually indicates the weight of each dropper, making choosing the right product easy.

Spray
Like drops, the spray is used for topical application. The medicinal liquid is packaged in polymer bottles of varying capacities—100, 200, and 500 ml. Smaller bottles are typically available. Each polymer package is equipped with a spray nozzle, making the medication easy to use.

Collars
The German manufacturer produces Rolf Club collars of various lengths – 40, 65 and 75 cm for puppies and large dogs.
Externally, it's a gray polymer tape impregnated with active ingredients that protect against insects. Each collar is individually sealed and then placed in a cardboard box. The tape has a locking tab.

Price
The price of Rolf Club 3D varies by pharmacies and regions, but the cost largely depends on the dosage form:
- drops – from 200 to 400 rubles depending on the volume;
- spray – 400-550 rub.;
- collar (40-75 cm) – 210-420 rub.
There won't be any problems purchasing this antiparasitic medication. Since it's a popular drug, it's sold in almost all traditional and online veterinary pharmacies.
Composition and properties
All forms of the drug are highly effective. This is due to its combination of three active ingredients. Rolf Club acts on ectoparasites It protects animals from various species and protects them from blood-sucking insects (mosquitoes, gnats, etc.), which carry dangerous infectious diseases, including piroplasmosis. The key feature of the medication is its knockdown effect. Its action lasts only 2-3 minutes, preventing ticks from attaching to the animal.
The active components included in the composition complement each other’s action:
- Fipronil. It is used in many products to combat ticks and other external parasites. It targets the nervous system of arthropods. The disruption of receptors and the transmission of nerve impulses leads to paralysis, which ultimately leads to death.
- Pyriproxyfen. The presence of this substance in the composition allows you to get rid of ectoparasites in just one treatment. This is achieved because pyriproxyfen acts on insect larvae. Under its influence, they are prevented from developing further and becoming sexually mature.
- D-cyphenothrin. Provides a knockdown effect. Upon contact, it almost instantly blocks the transmission of nerve impulses. Its mechanism of action targets the nervous system. Like fipronil, it blocks the transmission of nerve impulses, inevitably leading to paralysis and death of insects.

The medication maintains its effect over a long period of time because its components are not absorbed into the bloodstream but accumulate in the coat, hair follicles, and the upper layer of the epidermis. Even with prolonged use, Rolf Club 3D does not cause addiction in dogs.
When and how to apply
Rolf drops, spray and collars are used for dogs affected by ixodid And scabies mites, fleas, lice eaters, lice, and other parasitic insects. All forms can also be used to prevent ectoparasite infestations and protect against blood-sucking insects.
Directions for use depend on the dosage form of the medication. If a spray is used, follow these steps:
- Shake the bottle with the medicine.
- Spray the product over your pet's entire body. Hold the bottle vertically, keeping the spray nozzle 20-25 cm away.
- Apply the spray against the grain. Long hair should be lifted with your hand. This will ensure the solution penetrates the epidermis and doesn't accumulate on the top of the coat.
Please note! After treatment, muzzle your dog or tape his mouth shut to prevent him from licking himself. Once the solution has dried, the protective equipment can be removed. The treatment can be repeated once a month, but not more often.

If you're using a collar to protect against ticks and fleas, select the appropriate length of strap. Secure the collar around your pet's neck and trim off any excess strap. Ensure there's a 1-1.5 cm gap between the collar and your pet's neck. When worn continuously, the collar can provide protection against ectoparasites for up to 6 months. If your pet's coat is dirty, you can bathe it first and then place the plastic strap around its neck. The collar should be removed during bathing.
Features of using drops
According to the instructions, Rolf Club 3D drops should be applied to dogs' withers. Carefully trim the top of the dropper with scissors. Then, part the hair at the base of the head and drip the solution. Apply the drops only to dry skin free of wounds, scratches, and bruises.
The dosage of the medicine is calculated depending on the weight:
- up to 4 kg – 0.5 ml;
- from 4 to 10 kg – 1 ml;
- from 10 to 20 kg – 1.5 ml;
- from 20 to 40 kg – 2.5 ml;
- from 40 to 60 kg – 4 ml.
Please note! The medication can only be re-used after one month.
If ticks are found on an animal, then the drops are used as follows:
- At otodectosis (Ear mites) - Apply 1-3 drops of the medication to each ear, but first clear any crusts from the ear canals. Repeat the procedure 2-3 times. Re-apply after 5-7 days.
- If a tick has attached itself to your pet, apply one drop of Rolf to it and wait 20 minutes. If the tick doesn't fall off on its own, carefully remove it with tweezers.
- For sarcoptic mite infestations, apply a drop of the medication to the affected areas, then spread the solution over the entire surface using your fingers (wear gloves), taking a small area of healthy skin along the edges. Complete healing will require up to four treatments. The interval between treatments should be 5-7 days.
Please note! Do not combine Rolf with other insecticides, as this increases the risk of overdose.
Contraindications and side effects
The drug is not used in the following cases:
- for puppies under 12 weeks of age;
- for lactating females;
- for pregnant bitches;
- if the animal has suffered a serious illness and has not recovered from the illness;
- in case of exhaustion;
- if an infectious disease is detected in a pet.
The medication is also contraindicated in cases of intolerance to any of the components. If the animal has hypersensitivity or the dosage is calculated incorrectly, the following symptoms may occur:
- redness of the skin;
- itching;
- increased salivation;
- lacrimation;
- anxiety, etc.
If the above symptoms occur, the dog should be thoroughly bathed with shampoo. If necessary, give the pet an antihistamine (anti-allergy medication) such as Diazolin. Suprastin, Tavelgin and others.

Owner reviews
Anastasia, owner of a Pomeranian:
"We used Rolf drops for three years. Everything was always fine, but the last treatment didn't go well for our dog. She developed severe itching. She scratched herself against furniture and doorframes almost all night until we gave her an anti-allergy medication. I think this last time we got a fake. Incidentally, the number of negative reviews about the medication has increased significantly recently. I'm shocked; I'll have to find an alternative."
Lyudmila, owner of a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy:
"We bought a Rolf collar for our 4-month-old puppy. After two hours, he started vomiting heavily. We repeated the experiment a little later – the reaction was the same. I don't recommend this product to anyone. I believe it's highly toxic and not safe for pets."
Andrey, English Bulldog breeder:
"I've been using Rolf drops and spray to protect my dogs from ticks for several years. They're an excellent product. We haven't had a single tick attach, even though we live in the countryside. I use it on both adult dogs and puppies. I've never had any adverse reactions. Even our female dog, who is highly sensitive, tolerates the product well."
Veterinarian Reviews
Victoria, a veterinarian with 10 years of experience:
"Rolf Club 3D used to be the best product for protection against external parasites, but recently, customer complaints have become more frequent. Many animals have begun to tolerate the medication poorly. Severe itching and even hair loss at the site of application are not uncommon. I believe the market is selling a counterfeit product. The product is popular and not very cheap, and some people are looking to make a buck."
Alexander, a veterinarian with 5 years of experience:
"This is a highly toxic product. Many animals experience allergic reactions even when using the recommended doses. I never advise my clients to use this product. There are safer, more affordable options on the market."

These drops were recommended to me by dog trainers. I'd used other products before, and everything worked fine. But the next day, Rolf caused a reaction—the dog was restless, scratching, and twitching.

Yesterday, I applied Rolf drops to my two pugs' withers. One of them was restless and whining in the evening, and wouldn't calm down for a long time. I took a shower with soapy water and washed it all off. We still couldn't sleep all night, and she was whining. I will never use this product again!

Hello!
It's a shame this happened. Unfortunately, animals can have individual sensitivities to some medications. It's impossible to predict this in advance.
Even when we humans start using any new skin product, we are advised to do an allergy test on the bend of our elbow.
You did the right thing by rinsing the product off your pet's skin. In the future, when purchasing new ectoparasite treatments, we recommend starting with one drop, and if there's no reaction, then increasing to the full dose.
Health to your tails!

Today I treated my dog (Bichon Frise) with Rolf Club 3D drops.
After a few hours, severe itching began.
Poor condition, refusal to eat. Gave an antihistamine.
There is no improvement yet.
Very upset.
Tomorrow I'll have to go to the clinic.

Hello! No animal is immune to allergic reactions. Even the most harmless medications can cause them. Therefore, developing allergies to veterinary medications is, unfortunately, not uncommon. It's good that you took action and gave your pet an antihistamine. However, I would like to clarify which one. Not all human medications are suitable for pets, and excessive dosages or careless or frequent use of various human medications can lead to serious liver damage.
