Cat show schedule for 2018

Hundreds of cat shows are held across Russia every year. These events are organized by both large feline associations and small city animal clubs. Several dozen such competitions are already planned for 2018.

In Moscow

There are approximately fifty cat fancier associations in the capital. According to preliminary estimates, at least a dozen cat shows will be held in Moscow in 2018.

In January, competitions of this kind will be held by the World Feline Center "Astra" (4th-6th), "Cat Info" (8th and 9th), "Korgorushi" (27th and 28th).

The Interregional Felinological Center "Felis" is organizing events on February 24-25, June 23, and October 27-28. Details are not yet available, but the organizers promise to post them soon on their website: ifc-felis.ru.

An exhibition organized by the RosKosh club is scheduled for May 26-27. The program and entry forms are available at roscosh.info. Information about the club's activities is available at roscosh.org.

The Moscow Club of Sportsmen will host the competitions on October 20-21 and November 17-18. Given that the events are still more than a year away, information about them is minimal, but details will be released soon. Find them at mos-cat.ru.

In Saint Petersburg

The northern capital will delight cat lovers with even more exhibits than Moscow.

On Christmas Eve (January 5-6), the animal lovers' society "Saffy" will open its exhibition season in St. Petersburg. Two more similar events are announced for September 8-9 and November 17-18.

"Kotograd" is waiting for everyone to visit on February 3rd and 4th.

The Kotofey Association of Cat Lovers' Clubs will be hosting several cat shows in 2018. The first is scheduled for February 23-24, the second will take place on October 6-7, and the third two-day show will begin on December 22. Detailed information will be available on the website: aklkkotofey.ru.

Cat Land, a full member of the World Cat Federation, welcomes adults and children on January 27 and 28, March 17-18, June 23-24, and August 18-19. You can learn more about the requirements for participation and complete an application online at catland.ru.

FeliCity, like most clubs, has several events planned for 2018. The first will be held on May 12, the second on June 2, and the third on November 3. Details are currently unavailable, but they should appear soon on the website: www.felicity-club.ru.

In Voronezh

On January 27-28, the Astra All-Russian Cat Show Center opens the cat show season in Voronezh.

From February 16th to 18th, the Leoruss club is holding the international competition "Wow! Maslenitsa!" Experts from Latvia, Estonia, and Belarus have been invited to select the best felines. Details of the event and the entry form are available on the website: leoruss.com.

The aforementioned KLC will also host the three-day "Leoruss Cup 2018." It's scheduled for April 20-22. The organizers haven't yet released any details, so it's worth checking the website periodically.

In Yekaterinburg

The cat show season opens on January 5 with a two-day event, ASIA CONTINENT SHOW-AR-010, organized by Cat Info.

The Ural Regional Public Felinological Organization "Grace" invites cat lovers to attend on March 24-25, June 10-11, and October 27-28. Details of the events will be announced soon on the website: cats-grace.org.

In Kazan

Quite a few cat shows will also be held in the capital of Tatarstan, organized by the Kotofey club. Show off your pets' abilities and beauty, or simply admire these magnificent animals, on January 5-6, March 8-9, April 21-22, July 28-29, September 29-30, November 3-4, and December 8-9.

In Kursk

The "Chernozemye Cup," organized by the Bast Club, will be held on January 4th and 5th. The competition will select the best cats in the Adult, Kitten, and Junior categories. Owners of British Shorthairs, Scottish Folds, Sphynxes, Maine Coons, and other cats are invited to participate. You can apply online at kursk-bast.ucoz.ru.

In Nizhny Novgorod

Nizhny Novgorod has a branch of the aforementioned Ural Regional Public Feline Organization "Grace." It will host EUROPE CONTINENT SHOW-ER-080 on April 7-8.

In Novosibirsk

On January 5-6, the Royal Dynasty Cat Club will hold the 2018 Siberian Grand Prix. Rings for adult and young felines are planned. Shows are expected for British Shorthairs, Folds, and straights, Maine Coons, silver cats, and others. The winners will be included in the "Best Animals" ranking of the WCF. The same club is organizing the "City and Cats" event on June 23-24. Details and registration are available at top-cat.org.

On February 17-18 and October 13-14, the Elitar Club Animal Lovers Public Organization will hold its exhibitions. Details are available at elitar-club.ru.

The Kotomir Club invites everyone to the "Siberiada 2018" event on March 30th and April 1st, and to the "Kotomir Show 2018" in the last days of September. You can find the requirements for participants and fill out an application at kotomir.com.

In Omsk

Omsk has several cat clubs, but the "Good Cat" club will be organizing the 2018 shows. Events are scheduled for February 10-11, June 2-3, and October 6-7. Traditionally, cats of all breeds and ages are welcome to participate. Rules and application forms are available on the website: dobrykot.rf.

In Ryazan

The Ryazan club "RosKosh" welcomes children, adults, and their pets on January 20-21 and October 6-7. The detailed program has not yet been announced, but you can get a feel for it by checking out reports from previous events on the website: rosket.jimdo.com.

In Tolyatti

The renowned Tolyatti-based KLC "Felicita" plans to hold several shows in various categories. These include the WCF "KotoMagiya" show on February 24-25, the WCF+TICA Avatar show on September 22-23, and the WCF BEST CATS show on November 10-11. The regulations will be posted at felichita-club.ru closer to the dates.

We've listed the Russian cities expected to host the largest number of cat shows in 2018. However, it's important to note that they are held in almost all major cities, including Krasnodar, Volgograd, Chelyabinsk, Tomsk, Orel, and others.
