Reviews
Olga Antonovna Nikanorova, veterinarian:
"Otidez is excellent for treating infectious, parasitic, and fungal ear infections in animals: it destroys the pathogen, relieves inflammation, and reduces the production of histamine mediators that trigger allergic reactions. Despite being a topical treatment, Otidez produces very good and fairly rapid results. I have not experienced any side effects from using these ear drops.
When prescribing Otidez to a dog, I always warn the owner about the need to complete the full course of treatment, especially for diseases caused by ticks or fungi. This medication is selective against these pathogens, killing only adult, active individuals. Those in a "dormant" state or intermediate stages of development remain unharmed, and it takes time for them to become active and vulnerable to the medication.
Timofey:
"I noticed my dog was scratching his left ear frequently. Upon examination, I saw dark brown crusts in his ear. I took him to the vet, who immediately diagnosed him with otodectosis and prescribed Otidez ear drops. According to the instructions, they were to be used several times a day to clear the crusts from his ears, then applied to both the affected and healthy ears. This treatment worked surprisingly quickly for my dog: he stopped shaking his head and scratching his ear within a day, and within a week, his ears were clear. I highly recommend Otidez."
Olga:
"We've been treating our dog Dinara for a long time for a fungal ear infection. She apparently contracted it back at the kennel where we adopted her: the vet said the condition was advanced, and that's why her recovery is very slow. We have to change medications periodically during treatment to prevent addiction. This time, the vet recommended ear drops from a domestic company called Agrobioprom called Otidez, which cost about 300 rubles. We've been using them in her ears for five days now, morning and evening. The results are good: she's calmer, and her ears have cleared up and become lighter. One of the advantages of this medication is its local anesthetic: our dog doesn't like constant ear cleaning and drops, but she tolerates Otidez without much resistance."
