Nucleopeptide is based on bovine spleen extract, which contains various biologically active substances. The spleen is an organ of the immune system. The substances it contains, particularly nucleotides, participate in the formation of nucleic acids, which make up the body's DNA. Peptides act as a kind of "building block," stimulating animal growth and development and participating in many metabolic processes.
The medication appears as an opaque liquid, light or dark brown in color. During prolonged storage, a sediment may form at the bottom, which is easily dispersed by shaking the package. The liquid is packaged in dark or clear glass bottles sealed with rubber stoppers. The manufacturer produces bottles of various sizes: 5, 10, 100, and 200 ml. For dogs, the medication is typically purchased in smaller bottles. Larger bottles are intended for cattle. However, purchasing a 100 ml bottle may be justified if you have a large number of dogs, such as in a kennel.

How to apply
According to the instructions for use, the dosage of Nucleopeptide for dogs, as well as the treatment regimen and duration, depends on the pathology:
- When preparing for a show, subcutaneous or intramuscular injections are administered 3-5 days a month before the event. The dosage is calculated at 0.1-0.2 ml per 1 kg of body weight. Another regimen can also be used: one injection every 15 days. The course lasts no more than six months. A break of 2-3 months is required between courses.
- To prevent illnesses during periods of increased risk (stress, off-season, competitions and exhibitions), injections are given over three days. The dose is 0.1-0.2 ml/kg.
- To boost immunity and protect animals from viral infections, the drug is administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly in the following doses: 2-3 ml for small puppies, 5-10 ml for older puppies of large breeds and adult pets. Newborn puppies may be given the medication orally. A similar regimen is also used to stimulate growth and development in puppies.
- For otitis, eczema, dermatitis For other chronic conditions of various origins, injections are administered over 5-7 days in conjunction with the main treatment. The dosage is calculated based on the requirement of 0.1-0.4 ml of fluid per kilogram of body weight. The course can be repeated after a month, if necessary.
- For blood parasitic diseases, intoxications and toxicosis during pregnancy, the biopreparation is administered in a dosage of 0.1-0.2 ml for 5-7 days.
Nucleopeptide can be used in combination with vitamin-mineral complexes, chemical and herbal therapeutic medications.
Contraindications and side effects
The instructions state that there are virtually no contraindications for the use of Nucleopeptide in dogs. Some animals may experience individual intolerance to the components, resulting in allergic reactions. In such cases, discontinue use of the biostimulant.
The drug should not be used in acute illnesses accompanied by elevated body temperature, or in animals in pre-comatose or comatose states. Nucleopeptid should also be discontinued during vaccinations and in cases of severe exhaustion.
Usually the biostimulant does not cause side effects.
The medication may exacerbate chronic diseases and underlying conditions. This is not a reason to discontinue the medication.
Special instructions
The medication can be stored at temperatures between 2 and 25˚C, but it should be stored in a dry place away from sunlight. Keep the vials out of reach of children and animals. Keep them away from food and other feed.
Once opened, the medicine can only be used within 24 hours. Afterward, the liquid should be discarded. After opening, the bottle should be refrigerated for storage.
The medicine should not be used in the following situations:
- the liquid changed color;
- foreign impurities appeared in the drug;
- the resulting sediment does not break up;
