Pronature is a dog food from a private, family-owned company in Canada that is distributed to 30 countries worldwide. It has a reputation for high quality and a rich nutritional profile. Many pet owners often joke that they could eat this food themselves.

Experience at the core of pet care
The Canadian company PLB International has been in the pet food market for over 40 years. Its owners, several generations of a single family from a Montreal suburb, own their own small factory. They are well-known animal lovers and operate under the ethos of "We don't spread ourselves too thin—one factory, one warehouse, one office, one raw material supplier, but everything is of the highest quality."
The family's long-standing pet food production has earned not only the attention of countries around the world but also high-quality certification. These documents, granting official permission to trade directly with Europe, can be considered more than just documents, but rather "Oscars" of the pet food industry. Not every factory owner receives these awards; to obtain European certification, the company's operations are scrutinized by a delegation of doctors and sanitary inspectors.
And this is no coincidence – to become a regular employee, you will have to pass a rigorous selection process that takes into account not only professionalism in the stated field, but also psychological factors, and even a love of animals.
For the company's management, obtaining external approval and certification is not enough to gain direct access to Europe. They care so much about animals that they themselves require certification from suppliers of meat and other ingredients, selecting the most impeccable suppliers with the best raw materials. Each received batch of goods is subject to additional quality checks.
The main thing is what's inside
All ingredients are individually tested beforehand, as even the smallest detail can affect the color, hardness, and density of the pellets. If everything is in order, the components undergo the necessary processing and are fed into the extruder. This unit ensures the integrity of the pellets and the uniform dispersion of all the essential components.

Pronature doesn't contain any harmful substances, potentially dangerous dyes, or preservatives. Not a single ingredient will harm your beloved dog's health.
Compound:
- dehydrated premium lamb meat – provides the body with animal fats, preventing excess weight gain;
- flax seeds – the fatty acids they contain strengthen the immune system and prolong life;
- rosemary – stimulates or normalizes digestion;
- Spinach – prevents problems with the heart and blood vessels;
- Cranberries, apples and carrots provide all the necessary vitamins and minerals.
Important! Different packages may also contain prebiotics to improve microflora, lecithin for skin problems, and glucosamine for joint and cartilage problems. Choosing the right supplement is easy—there's a corresponding icon in the top corner of the package indicating the presence of a particular supplement.
Everything is provided for
To fully satisfy the needs of our four-legged and barking friends, we produce two lines of food: Original and Holistic.
Two main directions:
- Pronature Original is a classic pet food from the early years of its release, beloved by many owners who, due to their habits as true retrogrades, are still reluctant to switch to other varieties. The line is divided into two subtypes: classic and deluxe, the latter of which is free of soy, corn, and wheat.
- Pronature Holistic is a new generation of dog food. Holistics – foods created using a carefully calculated formula based on zoological research. They believe that dogs are carnivores who shouldn't eat human scraps, as human food can ruin a dog's stomach within weeks. Holistic foods contain everything a dog would find in the wild – 60 or 70% meat, and the remaining 40 or 30% vegetables, medicinal herbal ingredients, etc.
Composition of holisticists from Pronature:
- lamb, chicken, turkey, duck and fish, and no pork or beef, since the former is the embodiment of cholesterol, and the latter is a powerful carrier of allergens;
- fresh fruits and vegetables to provide the vitamins and minerals necessary for normal development;
- herbs and spices – extracts with homeopathic components;
- natural preservatives.

Interesting numerology: according to the age and certain physiological characteristics of dogs, the foods are divided into several variants and numbered to make it easier for pet owners to navigate.
Pronature 21
This food is designed for adult, large dogs approaching aging, a period when they lose their former activity level and their metabolism undergoes adjustments. The formula takes these characteristics into account, reducing the amount of fat and protein to prevent obesity. A special balance of vitamins and minerals has been developed to maintain muscle tone.
Pronature 22 - Lamb and Rice Dog Food
Pronature 22 dog food is versatile and suitable for any adult breed. Made with lamb and rice, this food is a boon for allergy sufferers and dogs with sensitive stomachs.
Pronature 26 is a food for large breed dogs.
The base is chicken meat, with the remaining ingredients constantly changing and being recombined. This line is primarily intended for adult dogs, but there are also exceptions for puppies; the differences in ingredients are always indicated on the packaging. It's relatively inexpensive compared to other options, but no less nutritious.
Pronature 28
Joy for puppies, a balanced food tailored to the needs of puppies who are not suited to an adult diet. The ingredients are constantly changing, so remember the number 28 and read the list of ingredients on the back.
Canned goods
In addition to dry food, the company has also developed a line of canned foods. Canned food is considered to be similar to our stewed meat, and is easier and more digestible than dry food.
They are also divided into premium and holistic grades. Their composition is identical to that of dry versions, but they are much more expensive due to their higher production costs. However, if owners can afford canned food, veterinarians recommend it over dry food. However, they also assure that dry food poses no health risks, as long as dogs are given enough water.
Important points
Because ProNature foods are highly nutritious, the manufacturers have developed a special chart that correlates a dog's weight with its daily requirement. This will help prevent overload from overfeeding.

Pronature Food Reviews
Reviews of the food are generally positive, with only occasional criticisms about the price. However, this is subjective, as such opinions don't address quality.
Paronature dog food reviews from veterinarians
Vasily, veterinarian, 20 years of experience
Dogs are often brought to the clinic with such advanced stomach conditions that they have to be fed expensive holistic diets to save their lives. Of all the holistic dog foods available in Russia, I recommend ProNature. It's less expensive than other similarly expensive dog foods, and its line includes foods with supplements that help improve digestion.
Ekaterina, veterinarian, 15 years of experience
I always recommend Pronature for dogs prone to allergies, in my opinion it is the best premium dog food available.
Oksana, veterinarian, 10 years of experience
I often bring dogs to me for neutering, and they require special food. I recommend ProNature. Although there's no specific pack for neuters in their line, its balanced formula is ideal. All neutered animals are prone to obesity, and any ProNature food can be considered dietary. It provides all the necessary nutrients without adding extra pounds.
Reviews from dog breeders and ordinary owners
Anna, a Chow Chow breeder
I breed Chow Chows for sale, and everyone knows how thick and big their coats are. I can't afford to feed them regular dog food; it immediately affects their coats. After trying a ton of expensive options, I settled on ProNature. My dogs never had such good coats before.
Maxim, the pug's owner
I have a pug, and I spent a long time trying different foods, not knowing what to feed him. On the one hand, he's not a puppy, and on the other, he's so small that regular food wasn't suitable. The vet recommended ProNature for puppies and small dogs, and I'm very grateful for that; it worked perfectly for us.
Irina, dachshund breeder
Once, my dog Nora gave birth to a large litter of puppies, and my friends immediately snapped them up. So I came up with the idea of breeding dogs for sale. This requires a significant amount of money, most of which goes towards food. Everyone knows that to keep a dog looking its best, you can't feed it table scraps or cheap dog food. It will immediately show on its fur and skin. A 20-kilogram pack of Pronature was a real lifesaver for me. By offering quantity at an affordable price, I now had access to quality.
Yuri, the owner of the Great Dane
I have a harlequin Great Dane; you could say he consumes the same amount of food as a small calf. He ate tons of food of any kind until a friend recommended Pronature. At first, I was skeptical. Then I realized it works the same way as with humans: you can eat a ton of cabbage and not be full, or you can get by with a handful of dates and still be energetic for a day. It's the same with dry dog food, depending on what's in the kibble. Pronature saved me from unnecessary spending. I buy the largest packages; it's cheaper and lasts a long time.
