The Importance of Exercise for Cats
Through play, kittens master new behaviors they'll need in the future, learning to hunt and defend themselves. For indoor cats, who don't go outside and typically lead a sedentary lifestyle with little exercise, playing with another cat also provides exercise, a chance to release pent-up energy. Movement is as essential for animals as it is for humans.
If a cat spends a lot of time alone (which is the case in most situations), it may be due to physical inactivity or lack of exercise. Insufficient exercise can lead to unreasonable aggression, obesity, and destructive behavior. Conversely, cats that run and play a lot are more affectionate, balanced, and peaceful. Obesity is not a problem in these cats.
Making cats happier
"The easiest way to make a pet happy and healthy is to get it a friend. If possible, buy two kittens at once. They'll play with each other whenever they feel like it, and all you have to do is watch their funny games."
In a city apartment, we can offer cats games that only vaguely resemble hunting. To maintain the thrill of the hunt, it's important to maintain regularity and variety. Cats are generally conservative. They like a routine that's consistent day after day. Therefore, it's a good idea to include a special time—a "game hour"—into it.
Animal games can last a long time, but usually an hour is enough to satisfy their need for active movement. Of course, this amount of time isn't ideal for focusing on just one activity, such as catching a toy mouse. Such a relay race is unlikely to be to the owner's liking, and it will tire the cat out. You can use random play tools, such as a candy wrapper ball, a cork, or a paper bag.
Pet stores offer a wide selection of cat balls. They're all bright and beautiful, but not every cat wants to play with them. playTherefore, when purchasing another running mouse, you need to be prepared for the fact that your pet won't like it.

Cat toys
It's a good idea to select special items that your cat can only use when you're present. For example, a mouse on a string isn't very safe, as your cat could get tangled in the string or swallow part of it. It's best to only give it to your cat when you're nearby. Many cats enjoy a laser pointer, or more precisely, the dot it creates. By purchasing one, the owner can calmly read a favorite book, occasionally moving their hand, while the cat chases the red dot across the room.
It's important to remember that to maintain physical health, a cat should have access to not only horizontal but also vertical space in the apartment. Nature has instilled in animals a desire to conquer heights, which is why they love climbing. The ideal exercise equipment for a cat is a special tree that allows free climbing. If you don't want to overspend, you can build your own from unused shelves. Alternatively, you can buy or make a scratching post with your own hands (there are some on sale that can be attached to both the floor and the ceiling), which the cat can also climb on.
Cat games can be anything. It's impossible to overdo it when creating them. Only you can make your pets' lives rich and fulfilling. Believe me, your efforts will be greatly appreciated!
