The Russian line of Frais dry and wet dog food was launched in 2014. The customer was Dikey Mart, and production is handled by Provimi, whose production facilities are located in Klin, Moscow Oblast. When developing the formula, veterinarians and nutritionists consider the characteristics of large and small breeds, as well as the dietary requirements of different ages. The technologies used in production allow for high-quality products at affordable prices.

Under the Frais brand, Provimi produces dry and wet food for adult dogs and puppies of large and medium breeds. The formulas are tailored to the individual needs of dogs, taking into account their specific nutritional needs for protein, vitamins, and minerals at different stages of development.

Frais Signature Super Premium Dry Food

Dry food ingredients vary widely, so you can always choose the right one depending on your pet's needs. For example, a rabbit-based product is suitable for sensitive digestion.

All of the listed varieties are designed for dogs with normal physical activity levels. The brown kibble has a pleasant aroma and comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. For convenience, it is packaged in large 15 kg bags and smaller 500 g and 3 kg packages. The food is available for purchase by weight at pet stores. A 500 g package costs 200-300 rubles, while a 3 kg package costs 790-1000 rubles.

Frais Classique dry food

This series of premium pet foods is designed for all breeds with no digestive issues. The kibble size is large – 1.6 cm – and is available in 3 and 15 kg bags.

Due to the presence of fat, an opened package cannot be stored for long periods of time, as fats tend to go rancid. It's best to store in a tightly sealed container.

About the composition, pros and cons

In Signature foods, the meat component (dehydrated meat) is listed first, meaning it's present in more of the ingredients. In Classique, grains are listed first.

Dehydrated meat is meat obtained from raw meat by dehydration. It contains approximately 10% moisture, so the concentration of animal protein is significantly higher than in feeds containing raw meat.

Other ingredients:

1. Animal fats are added to form the structure of the finished feed and improve the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K. Fats also enhance the taste and smell of the feed.
2. Wheat is most often used as a cheap source of carbohydrates and vegetable protein, and as a filler. Its nutritional value is negligible.
3. Rice, cornBarley is essential for replenishing the body's carbohydrates. The percentage is not specified, but the closer to the end of the list, the lower the amount.
4. Yeast is a source of B vitamins and improves flavor. Brewer's yeast is considered the best option.
5. Herbal supplements have an antioxidant effect and serve as a source of fiber, improve the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.

The advantages include a large amount of protein, the use of hypoallergenic types of meat, the absence of flavorings and flavor enhancers, and an affordable price.

According to customer reviews, the protein content is incorrectly listed, and if antioxidants are present, they are not specified. The use of certain plant components (beet pulp, wheat), according to many, is not entirely justified.

Frais Holistic wet food

This complete wet food from the Holistic class is a new generation product, made using ingredients suitable for human consumption.

The term "holistic" is used to describe foods made from natural ingredients. They contain no artificial flavors, GMOs, grains, antibiotics, hormones, soy, or colorings.

Frais Holistic is suitable for adult dogs of all breeds. Available in a 750g tin, the approximate price starts at 200 rubles.

According to the manufacturers, the product's components undergo quality testing and are suitable for human consumption. The composition is balanced, with approximately 70% protein and 30% protein. Vitamin supplements derived from fruits, vegetables, and berries, as well as minerals (copper, manganese, zinc, and iodine), are included.

Our dog (a Labrador) is allergic to many foods. We bought a small package of Frais Maxi Turkey to try. He liked it and had no reaction. This food is now the mainstay of our diet, and for variety (as a treat), we give him wet food, such as mixed meat with liver, or chicken in jelly.

Our pug puppy turned out to be picky and won't eat everything. We tried several options, but he clearly devours Frais Baby Dog Lamb, so we settled on that. The smell isn't great by our standards, but he's happy. We haven't observed any adverse reactions. The vet said he can eat it if he likes it. We also give him Multi Vitamin Puppy as a supplement, in courses.
