Flatazor's production facilities are located in Plechatel, Brittany, France. Pet food for cats and dogs and horses is manufactured in various factories. Each factory is equipped with high-tech equipment and complies with international standards governing food quality and safety.

The Brittany region's main economic sectors are agriculture and food processing. Thanks to its location, the company has direct access to suppliers of certified feed products. This allows it to create rations using the highest-quality raw materials.

Compound

Flatazor cat food includes all the essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals needed to meet a pet's daily calorie and nutritional needs. This complete food is suitable for pets of all breeds. The ingredients used promote healthy skin and coat and help eliminate hairballs. The most popular line of cat food is Flatazor Crocktail. Its composition includes the following characteristics.

  • Squirrels. The source of animal protein is dehydrated meat (21-30%). Depending on the diet, this may include chicken, duck, turkey, pork, or fish. Animal protein hydrolysates (3.5-4%) are also used in the diets, but their origin is not specified. Vegetable protein is represented by corn gluten (4%). In the analytical composition, crude protein accounts for 30 to 34%. The lowest amount is found in the Adult Multi diet with poultry and vegetables, where corn is the leading ingredient, accounting for 26.5% of the total protein (with dehydrated proteins accounting for 21%).
  • Fats. The diets include animal fat (the specific animal source is not specified) and duck fat. The latter contains many beneficial substances and essential amino acids necessary for normal cat function. Flaxseed, which is rich in omega-3 and omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids, is also included in the diet. The fat content in the diets ranges from 10% to 19%.
  • Carbohydrates. Corn and wheat are the primary sources of carbohydrates. In almost all diets, these ingredients are the second most important ingredient (and in some, the first). Their combined amounts can even exceed the main meat component. For example, in a diet for large breeds (Flatazor Crocktail Adult Large Breed), the proportion of dehydrated protein is 29%, while corn and wheat together account for 33% (18% and 15%, respectively).

  • Plant components. The food contains apple fiber, bean fiber, and beet pulp, which are rich in fiber. Yucca helps reduce fecal odor. Rosemary extract is a natural preservative. Wheat malt helps eliminate hairballs from the intestines. The ingredients also list "plant extracts," but the specifics are not specified.
  • Vitamins and microelements. All diets are enriched with vitamin complexes and minerals that ensure optimal functioning of the animal's body: calcium, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, linoleic acid, lysine, taurine, copper, zinc, iodine, selenium, vitamins A, E, B1, B12, D3, PP, biotin, folic acid.

  • Other ingredients. The food contains brewer's yeast, a natural food supplement rich in vitamins, microelements, and antioxidants. Fructooligosaccharides stimulate gastrointestinal function. Sea salt enhances flavor. Fish autolysates provide a natural flavoring.

Ftalazor cat food range

The price of the food depends on the weight of the package and may vary depending on the location of sale. On average, it is:

  • 2 kg – 1390 rubles;
  • 10 kg – 4500 rubles.

Pros and cons

Among the positive aspects of Flatazor food are:

  • using meat as the main source of protein (meat is best absorbed by the pet’s body);
  • protein content not less than 30%;
  • adding duck fat, which contains essential acids – linolenic and oleic, and is also rich in vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants;
  • The mineral composition helps reduce the acidity of urine, which is a preventative measure against urolithiasis;
  • addition of natural flavors and preservatives;
  • does not contain dyes.

The disadvantages include the high use of carbohydrates such as corn and wheat. These ingredients are not recommended for cats, who are natural carnivores and require more protein. Corn and wheat can cause allergic reactions and gastrointestinal upset. Therefore, foods high in these ingredients should be used with caution and are not recommended for animals prone to allergies or with sensitive digestion.

Reviews

Kristina Garayeva:

"I've been using Flatazor (with turkey) for a while now. I bought this food because my cat started refusing her old one (maybe she got tired of it, or maybe its quality had deteriorated). I liked the ingredients, namely: poultry (not by-products, etc.), no artificial preservatives, flavor enhancers, or colors. The kibble is the perfect size—not chunky, not greasy, a normal color (without the bright hues that dyes impart), and no strong odor. My cat eats with gusto. Her health is normal. Her coat is in excellent condition. We'll continue using this food."

Milana Leonova:

"I discovered Flatazor cat food at a trade show, where I received a free sample. I liked the ingredients: chicken, turkey, and other meats, rather than cheap sources of animal protein (like bones, hides, horns, and other hooves). My cat also liked it. Upon further examination, I discovered that it contains corn and wheat. This is a bit concerning. However, when choosing a food, you can carefully study the line and choose the best option for you. I settled on Adult 8+ Sterilized &/or Light. It contains 27% meat and 17% corn. I've been using this food for several months now. My cat eats it well. She behaves normally and is active. Her bowel movements are regular."

Dernovaya Irina:

"Good food at an affordable price. Made in France, so you can be sure it's high-quality and meets all European certifications. It contains dried meat, which is very healthy. I also like that it helps remove hair from the body (we have a long-haired breed) and helps normalize urine pH (preventing urolithiasis, which often develops in older cats). My cat eats the food with pleasure and doesn't react to it inappropriately (as she might with other foods with strong odors)."
