How it works
Fenpraz has a broad spectrum of action, as its active ingredients target various species of roundworms and tapeworms. This medication is unique in that it targets worms at all stages of development, making it effective for both treatment and prevention. Because the medication kills not only adult worms but also larvae, a single dose is usually sufficient to completely eliminate the parasites.

Fenpraz kills parasites and promotes their gentle elimination from the body. Dead worms are usually eliminated naturally in the feces. This eliminates the risk of pet poisoning, which can develop as a result of exposure to helminth waste products. There is no need to administer laxatives.
The product contains royal jelly, a powerful natural immune stimulant. This natural component contains amino acids, vitamins, and other beneficial components. Royal jelly has the following effects on the body:
- normalizes metabolic processes;
- improves immunity;
- improves the functioning of the digestive system;
- stimulates liver function;
- relieves intoxication;
- helps prevent the consequences of helminthic infestation.
Royal jelly makes the medication more gentle. This component helps your pet recover more quickly from illness.
Indications for use
According to the instructions for use, Fenpraz for dogs is used to treat helminthic infestations caused by the following types of parasites:
- toxocara;
- hookworms;
- cucumber tapeworm;
- echinococci;
- whipworms;
- pork tapeworm;
- broad tapeworm, etc.

The drug can also be used to prevent helminth infestations. It is suitable for periodic deworming, as well as for deworming before vaccinations or mating.
Price
When purchasing Fenpraz for a dog, it is important to keep in mind that the price depends on the dosage form:
- tablets, 10 pcs. – 180-230 rubles;
- suspension, 5-20 ml – 130-250 rubles depending on the capacity of the bottle.
The drug is effective, but not very popular, so it's not available in all veterinary pharmacies. To solve this problem, you can order it online.
Suspension
Fenpraz suspension is available in three different versions: for small, medium, and large dogs. All three versions contain praziquantel and pyrantel pamoate, which have a negative effect on internal parasites. The suspensions differ only in the concentration of the active ingredients, so be careful when purchasing and read the packaging to determine the specific dog type for which the medication is intended.

The suspension is packaged in dark glass or polymer vials. These vials are available in 5, 10, or 20 ml capacities. All vials are equipped with dosing syringes, making it easy to measure the required amount of medication.
How to apply
The medication is administered once. It's best to administer the medication in the morning before feeding, and there's no need to fast the animal. Shake the bottle well, as separation of the components may occur during prolonged storage. Next, measure out the required amount of medication using the dispenser. Pour the medication into the buccal area or onto the back of the tongue and ensure the animal swallows it.
The dosage of the drug is calculated depending on the weight:
- If you are using Fenpraz for small dogs and puppies, then 1 ml of suspension is calculated for 2 kg of weight;
- If you are using the product for medium or large dogs, then 1 ml is calculated for 4 kg, since it contains a higher amount of active ingredients.

The anthelmintic drug should be administered at the following frequency:
- for prevention every 3 months;
- 2 weeks before vaccination;
- 10 days before mating;
- for medicinal purposes when worms are detected after testing.
Please note! The suspension is convenient for puppies and small dogs, but larger breeds may be more difficult to administer. Feeding a large amount of medication to your pet can be difficult, so it's better to opt for tablets.
Pills
Fepraz tablets are best used for medium and large pets, as the dosage is easier to calculate. Tablets are more potent because they contain three active ingredients:
- praziquantel;
- fenbendazole;
- pyrantel pamoate.
Royal jelly supplements their action. The composition also includes auxiliary components. Tablets are sold in cardboard packs, with quantities ranging from 6 to 10 tablets.

How to give
Like the suspension, the tablets are given once. It's best to take them before the morning feeding. It's best to force-feed the tablets, placing them on the back of the tongue. To make the procedure easier and safer, use a special device: pill dispenserIt can be purchased at any veterinary pharmacy. If forcible administration is not possible, the crushed tablet should be mixed with food.
The number of tablets depends on the weight:
- from 2 to 5 kg – 0.5 pcs.;
- from 5 to 10 kg – 1 pc.;
- from 10 to 20 kg – 2 pcs.;
- from 20 to 30 kg – 3 pcs.;
- from 30 to 40 kg – 4 pcs.
If the animal weighs over 40 kg, the dosage is calculated as follows: 1 tablet for every 10 kg of body weight. The administration schedule is the same as for the suspension.
Contraindications and side effects
According to the instructions, Fenpraz is not recommended for dogs under 3 weeks of age. The drug is also contraindicated for animals with known intolerances. Since the proportions of the active ingredients are carefully calculated and include the natural immunostimulant royal jelly, the medication can be administered to weakened and elderly animals.
Please note: Pregnant women should only use anthelmintics after consulting with a veterinarian.

Fenpraz is tolerated without complications or problems by dogs of all ages and breeds. The drug generally does not cause side effects. In case of intolerance to the components, the following symptoms may occur:
- nausea and vomiting;
- diarrhea;
- skin reactions in the form of rashes or redness;
- itching, etc.
If an allergy occurs, the animal is given an anti-allergy medication and medications are used to relieve the symptoms.

Owner reviews
Anastasia, the husky's owner:
"I came across Fenpraz by chance at the veterinary pharmacy. It caught my attention because it's approved for puppies from two weeks of age and contains royal jelly. I've been using it for prevention for almost two years now, and I can say it's an excellent product. And although it's inexpensive compared to foreign medications, it effectively protects dogs from parasites. At least, no worms were detected during the entire period of use. We've had several tests done. Why pay more?!"
Dmitry, the owner of a Chihuahua:
"Finding a dewormer for small dogs is very difficult. Most medications are highly toxic and are poorly tolerated by my little beauty, but Fenpraz is an exception. It's an excellent and safe medication. The only downside is that it's not always available in pharmacies in our city. If I go to the capital on business, I always buy a bottle or two."
Veterinarian Reviews
Arthur, a veterinarian with 9 years of experience:
"Fenpraz is an effective anthelmintic that effectively kills both roundworms and tapeworms. Its uniqueness lies in its royal jelly content, which strengthens the immune system and has an overall positive effect on the body. I especially recommend using this medication for puppies. It's a safe way to protect your little one from worms."
Valentina, a veterinarian with 11 years of experience:
"To be honest, this isn't a very popular product. I learned about it by chance from a client who came to see me with a Pekingese. I started using it in my practice. And although it's only been a few months, there have been no poisonings or other side effects. It's a good product, and it's not cheap. Buying this product is a smart way to save money without sacrificing quality."
