Content
General description
The antiparasitic product is available as a concentrate. It's based on a substance called the pyrethroid permethrin, which accounts for 10% of the concentrate. It's a light yellow liquid with a rather pungent odor. When mixed with water, the concentrate forms a cloudy white liquid.

The medication is packaged in 1 or 2 ml ampoules. They can be made of polymer or glass. The concentrate is also packaged in polymer bottles of varying capacities—50 or 500 ml. For dogs, it is best to purchase the medication in ampoules or small bottles. Purchasing larger packages is only advisable for kennel owners with a large number of animals.
Operating principle
The main component of Entomozan S has a pronounced insecticidal and acaricidal effect, meaning it can kill ticks, fleas, and other insects. The product acts by contact, so it is applied topically.
It not only kills arthropods that parasitize dogs but also provides protection against reinfestation for 2-3 weeks. This is because the active ingredient accumulates in the coat, sebaceous glands, and hair follicles.

Entomosan C kills arthropods due to disruption of the nervous and muscular systems. Like most antiparasitic drugs, Entomosan C interferes with the transmission of nerve impulses. This causes disruptions in the muscular system, leading to paralysis. If the insect loses the ability to move, it soon dies.
Although the medication contains toxic substances, Entomozan S is completely safe for dogs when used according to the instructions. It is non-addictive and does not cause local irritation. Contact with mucous membranes may cause allergic reactions, so it is advisable to avoid this.
Indications for use in veterinary medicine
Entomosan C is used for dogs infected with external parasites:
- lice;
- fleas;
- scabies mites;
- lice eaters and others.
The drug can be used upon visual detection of arthropods and symptoms that accompany entomoses, sarcoptosis and otodectosis (constant itching, scratching the skin until it bleeds, anxiety of the animal, etc.).

The product is not typically used for ongoing prevention, but if there is a real risk of infection, using the medicinal concentrate can be an excellent solution. It's best to consult a veterinarian before use.
Price
The price of Entomozan C depends on the packaging volume:
- ampoule 2 ml – 40-45 rubles;
- 50 ml bottle – 150-2000 rub.;
- 500 ml bottle – from 700 rubles.
The product is sold in many veterinary pharmacies. No prescription is required. You can also order it online.
How to apply
According to the instructions, Entomozan S for dogs should be diluted at a ratio of 1 ml of concentrate per 1 liter of clean water. This concentration of emulsion is well suited for killing fleas and other insects. If you're targeting demodectic or sarcoptic mites, a more concentrated solution should be made. In this case, 1 ml is mixed with 200 ml of water. Depending on the size of the animal, 1 to 5 ml of concentrate is typically required per treatment. Application details depend on the type of parasite.
For entomoses
If fleas, lice, or biting lice are detected on your pet, apply the solution diluted in the proportions indicated above in stripes using a sponge. A brush or cotton swab can be used instead of a sponge. Leave 2-3 cm between each stripe. It's important that the solution saturates the fur and penetrates the skin. Typically, the solution is applied to the back first, then the sides and abdomen. The head, neck, and tail are treated last.

The diluted solution can also be sprayed onto the animal. If this method is chosen, use a Rosinka-type sprayer to apply the solution. Apply Entomosan S to dampen the fur. If the fur is long, lift it by hand to allow the solution to penetrate the epidermis. One treatment is usually sufficient. If signs of parasites persist, repeat the treatment after 10 days.
Please note! It's important to treat fleas in your pet's habitat. Insecticides should be applied to bedding, floors, baseboards, and other areas where insects may hide.
Do not rinse off the applied product. Allow it to dry completely. Prevent your pet from licking the medication. It's best to use a muzzle or tape for this purpose. Once Entomozan S has dried for 20-30 minutes, you can remove the protective equipment.
For demodicosis and sarcoptic mange
If you are infested with demodectic or scabies mites, you should do the following:
- Trim the hair in the area where the parasites are present.
- Remove any scabs or crusts from the epidermis. Use a cotton gauze pad, clean water, or a special lotion for this purpose. The latter is preferable.
- Using a cotton swab or sponge soaked in the prepared solution, treat the problem areas.
- Be sure to include a strip of healthy skin around the edges to prevent the parasites from spreading throughout the body.
The treatment is repeated 2-3 times with an interval of 7-10 days until the scraping results are negative.
For otodectosis
If ear mites are present, first clear the ear canal of any scabs. Then, place the prepared solution in each ear. The dosage depends on the pet's size. It's recommended to have your veterinarian calculate the exact dose. Place the drops in both ears, even if the mite is only found in one. After placing the drops, fold the ear in half and gently massage to distribute the medication evenly across the entire surface.
The treatment is repeated 2-3 times. Entomosan should be applied not every day, but once every 5-7 days. If the otodectosis is complicated otitis, antibacterial agents are additionally used.

Please note! When treating an animal, you must use personal protective equipment. Always wear gloves, and if you're spraying, use a respirator or a "petal."
Contraindications and side effects
According to the instructions, Entomozan S is not used for dogs in the following cases:
- during pregnancy (especially in the last months);
- in case of intolerance to the components;
- during lactation.
Also, the drug should not be used on weakened, emaciated animals or pets that have contracted infectious diseases.
Dogs generally tolerate Entomozan treatment for external parasites well, but intolerance to the components may cause itching, redness, or other allergic reactions. If the solution is ingested, signs of poisoning may occur, including vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, and so on. In this case, the animal's stomach should be immediately flushed. To remove toxic substances from the body, the pet should be given activated charcoal or other enterosorbents.

Owner reviews
Inna, owner of a German Shepherd:
"I use Entomosan S on my chickens every summer, so it's always in my veterinary kit. We also used it on my dog once when he was diagnosed with ear mites. I followed the instructions. Just two treatments and the mites were gone. Once again, I'm convinced that inexpensive products can be effective."
Mikhail, owner of a cat and a Labrador:
"We live in a private house, so our pets spend a lot of time in the yard. One day, we noticed our cat was constantly scratching itself. After a while, our dog also showed signs of fleas. At night, these pesky insects began bothering us, too. We had to take drastic measures. We bought Entomosan S in ampoules from a pharmacy. We first treated the animals with the solution, and then treated the house. We no longer have fleas in our house. One treatment was enough. The only drawback is a strong, unpleasant odor, but the inconvenience is temporary."
Veterinarian Reviews
Lyudmila, a veterinarian with 7 years of experience:
"Entomozan S is an inexpensive yet effective treatment for fleas, ticks, and other parasites. I consider its main advantage to be that it can be used both on animals and indoors, effectively giving it a two-in-one effect. I haven't encountered any side effects in my practice, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility if the dosage is exceeded or the product is diluted improperly. After all, the product does contain dangerous toxic substances."
Anton, a veterinarian with 10 years of experience:
"I work in a small provincial town, so there isn't much choice of veterinary medications here. In most cases, I have to use domestically produced medications. Among them is Entomosan S. It effectively combats ticks, fleas, and other parasites. I often recommend it not only to cat and dog owners, but also to those who keep cows, horses, pigs, and chickens. It's an effective product that's affordable for everyone."
