Before using Endogard on dogs, read the instructions to ensure there are no contraindications.
Content
Composition and release form
The antiparasitic agent contains the following active ingredients:
- praziquantel;
- pyrantel pamoate;
- febantel;
- Ivermectin.
It has a broad spectrum of action. It is prescribed for the treatment of various pathologies caused by endoparasites or giardia. The components differ in their pharmacodynamics, but all destroy the parasites.

The medication is available in brown tablets, shaped like a bone. They typically weigh 2.25, 9, or 27 g and are packaged in 2- or 6-tablet packs. They have a meaty flavor, making them easy for pets to swallow.
Depending on the concentration of active ingredients, the anthelmintic is available in three versions: Endogard 2.5, 10, and 30. It can be used for puppies and small dogs, as well as medium and large breeds. According to the instructions, Endogard 10 contains:
- praziquantel 50 mg;
- pyrantel pamoate 144 mg;
- ivermectin 0.06 mg;
- febantel 150 mg.
The active ingredient content in the product intended for puppies is four times lower, while for larger pets it's three times higher. The ratio of ingredients and auxiliary components remain unchanged.
Pharmacological properties
The medication's unique feature is its comprehensive action against parasites. Its active ingredients help destroy worms at all stages of development. It effectively combats not only adult worms but also eggs and larvae.
It has the following effect on parasites:
- contributes to metabolic disorders;
- voluntarily contracts muscles;
- interferes with the transmission of nerve impulses;
- makes cell membranes permeable;
- causes paralysis.
As a result of this treatment, parasitic worms quickly die. The medication's components promote the elimination of worms from the body.

In the blood, the maximum concentration of active substances is reached after 1.5-2 hours. From the gastrointestinal tract, they are distributed through the bloodstream to all organs and systems. Within 24 hours, most of the drug is eliminated from the body.
Indications for use
The antiparasitic drug is prescribed for therapeutic purposes in the following cases:
- in case of infection with worms;
- at giardiasis;
- with dirofilariasis.
It is effective against various types of worms that infest the gastrointestinal tract and other organs of animals (liver, heart). It is also used to prevent endoparasite infestations, dirofilariasis, and giardiasis.
It's important to deworm your pets regularly for preventative purposes. Parasites pose a serious threat not only to pets but also to humans, with children being particularly susceptible. Preventative measures against worms are essential quarterly, as well as before mating and vaccinations.
Instructions for use
The medication can be given during feeding in several ways:
- Mix with a small amount of food, for example, hide in meat or minced meat.
- If your pet protests taking the medicine, the tablets should be crushed and mixed with food.
- Forcefully insert the crushed pills into the mouth, diluting them in a small amount of boiled but cold water, or simply place them on the root of the tongue.
This medication should not be used in combination with medications containing piperazine. It is not recommended to use other antiparasitic medications while using this anthelmintic, as toxicity may increase to dangerous levels.

No prior fasting, laxatives, or other preparatory measures are required. The dosage is calculated based on the animal's weight.
Endogard 2.5
If your pet weighs less than 2.5 kg, you'll need 0.5 tablets of this strength. For pets weighing between 2.5 and 5 kg, give one tablet once. If your pet weighs more than 5 kg, give two tablets.
Endogard 10
The following diagram can be used to correctly calculate the medication dosage for your pet:
- weight 5 kg – 0.5 pcs.;
- weight 10 kg – 1 pc.;
- weight 15 kg – 1.5 pcs.;
- weight 20 kg – 2 pcs.
Each tablet is easily divided into equal parts, making it easy to measure the required amount of the drug and avoid overdose.
Endogard 30
The instructions for use state that Endogard 30 is for dogs weighing over 15 kg. Pets of this weight only require half a tablet. For animals weighing 30 kg, one whole tablet is needed. For pets weighing approximately 45 kg, 1.5 tablets are needed, and for larger dogs (60 kg or more), two tablets should be given at a time.

To get rid of worms, the drug is taken once, and to treat giardiasis, it is taken once a day for three days.

Owner reviews
Ekaterina, the owner of a Dalmatian:
"Since we have a small child who constantly cuddles and even sleeps with the dog, we deworm him regularly. On our veterinarian's recommendation, we use Endogard. He eats the pills without aversion, but I especially like the fact that he doesn't need starvation diets or enemas. It's very effective. We've had him tested several times, and everything is fine."
Tatyana, the owner of a shepherd dog:
"When our beloved dog was diagnosed with giardiasis, the doctor prescribed Endogard. We bought the maximum concentration and took it for three days. During this time, the dog was transformed – she started walking and eating well, and showed interest in people. After completing the treatment, we had her tested again. No parasites were found. I thank the manufacturer for this effective product and recommend it to all dog owners. The vet recommended using it as a preventative measure."
Alexander, owner of a Russian greyhound:
"Before my next vaccination, I went to the pharmacy, but the antihelminthic medication I'd used previously was out of stock. The pharmacist recommended Endogard. I was pleased with the purchase. The dog ate the pills on its own. There was no vomiting or other side effects."
Veterinarian Reviews
Sergey, veterinary parasitologist:
"I don't believe in medications that can cure every illness, but Endogard has proven its effectiveness time and again in my practice. I most often prescribe it for the treatment of giardiasis. To protect the liver and gastrointestinal tract from harmful effects, it is important to strictly adhere to the dosage. However, the medication rarely causes side effects. It is effective in preventing parasitic pathologies if used regularly."
Albina, veterinarian:
"A new-generation drug. It not only helps fight worms but is also effective in treating giardiasis and preventing dirofilariasis. Animals generally tolerate it well, but I recommend administering it in combination with hepatoprotectors to reduce the toxic effects on the liver."
