Content
General description
Dufalight is available as a clear, yellow liquid. This sterile solution, intended for injections and IVs, is packaged in 500 ml polymer vials. These are sealed with rubber stoppers, which are then sealed with aluminum caps. This packaging allows the solution to be reused multiple times. To prevent contamination of the liquid with foreign impurities, bacteria, and viruses, the medication is withdrawn through the rubber stopper using a sterile syringe. Following simple aseptic techniques will maintain the sterility of the solution.

Important! Once opened, this veterinary product is suitable for use for 28 days. After this period, it must be discarded.
When purchasing, pay attention to the medication's labeling, as well as information about the manufacturer, production date, and ingredients. Unlabeled medications should not be used for treating animals.
Composition and action
Dufalight is a complex of vitamins, electrolytes, salts, and amino acids. It contains B vitamins:
- thiamine (B1);
- riboflavin (B2);
- D-panthenol (B5);
- pyridoxine (B6);
- cyanocobalamin (B12).
The solution also contains vitamin PP or nicotinamide. Almost all B vitamins are involved in metabolic processes. Some of them participate in hemoglobin synthesis, accelerate tissue regeneration, and wound healing. They have a positive effect on the digestive and nervous systems.

The medication contains the electrolytes calcium, magnesium, and potassium, which help restore the salt balance during dehydration. It also contains dextrose, which provides essential energy for the animal's body, and amino acids. Arginine, histidine, lysine, and other amino acids are the "raw materials" for protein synthesis and are also involved in many biological processes.
Dufalight has the following effects on the animal’s body:
- replenishes reserves of vitamins and nutrients;
- normalizes the production of enzymes and hormones;
- restores the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates and fats;
- improves immunity;
- promotes better absorption of food;
- stimulates growth and proper development;
- accelerates the rehabilitation period after serious illnesses and operations.
When using this medication, the animal's body becomes more resilient to stress. Improved metabolic processes and the intake of beneficial components improve the skin's condition, and the coat becomes thicker.

When administered subcutaneously or intravenously, the components of the drug quickly enter the bloodstream and spread throughout the body.

Please note! This multivitamin complex can also be used to prevent stress in cats, such as those caused by transportation, travel, veterinary visits, and other stressful situations.
How to apply
The medication can be administered intravenously or subcutaneously. The former option is preferable for severely weakened animals. If the medicinal liquid is administered intravenously, it should be done very slowly. IV drips are permitted. The medication can be diluted with saline, but this is not necessary.
On average, 10 ml of fluid is required per 1 kg of body weight, although the Dufalight dosage may be adjusted by a doctor depending on the animal's condition. If the drug is used as adjuvant therapy, it is administered once every two days. If the medication is used as a food supplement, it is administered daily, with the daily dose divided into two doses. Treatment typically lasts 10-14 days, while a 5-day course is sufficient for preventative treatment.
Dufalight can be used concurrently with other medications. It is compatible with various feed additives and feeds, as the content of all active ingredients has been carefully calculated by specialists.
Are there any restrictions?
This vitamin complex is approved for use by cats of all ages. It is equally suitable for newborn kittens and older pets with various chronic illnesses. It can be used during pregnancy and lactation.
Discontinuing the medication is only necessary in cases of intolerance to any of the ingredients. This typically results in various allergies. In such a situation, it's best to choose a different medication for your pet, although Dufalight has no analogues.
The medication is well tolerated by cats. Side effects are generally nonexistent. The exception is cases of drug intolerance, although this is extremely rare in practice. The instructions state that no cases of overdose have been reported, but this does not necessarily mean that the dosage should be exceeded or the administration schedule should be violated.
Advantages and disadvantages
Dufalight has the following advantages:
- Efficiency. Results are noticeable within just a few days. The product has helped many cat owners and veterinarians nurse pets back to health after they completely refused food and had little chance of survival.
- Safety. The medication is approved for use in cats of all ages and has virtually no restrictions on use.
- Versatility. The solution is suitable for treatment and prevention, and can be used as an auxiliary agent.
- Compatibility. Dufalight is perfectly compatible with various feed additives and medications.
- Good tolerance. The drug does not cause side effects even in case of overdose.
The main drawback of this medication is its large packaging. Buying a 500-milliliter bottle of Dufalight for cats, which costs between 900 and 1100 rubles, is often impractical. Furthermore, an opened bottle can only be stored for a month. People often resell leftovers on forums or even give them away for free. If you decide to pick up the medication from someone else, you must ensure it is still usable and has been stored properly. If in doubt, it's best to visit your nearest veterinary pharmacy.
Owner reviews
Evgeniya, owner of a Siberian cat:
"Chronic renal failure was a terrible sentence for us. We knew the kitten's fate was sealed, but we wanted him to live a little longer. This was complicated by the fact that Pushok had almost completely refused food, so he began losing weight rapidly. The doctor recommended Dufalight. We administered intravenous saline. The kitten's condition improved significantly. His kidneys were also treated. It's an expensive but effective medication. The results were noticeable almost immediately."
Oksana, owner of a 7-year-old cat:
"Due to liver disease, my cat started vomiting heavily. I tried force-feeding her, but it was useless because she was vomiting everything. On the doctor's advice, we started giving her Dufalight injections because she was losing weight and becoming weak. The medication helped the cat recover faster, although she didn't tolerate the injections well. Apparently, they were painful, which is why she was struggling and hissing."
Veterinarian Reviews
Vadim, a veterinarian with 12 years of experience:
"Duphalite is a great product. It's helped me save many animals, not just cats, but also dogs, parrots, and other pets. It's a shame it's only sold in bulk. While that's fine for a clinic—you can buy the medication in bulk—it's not ideal for home use for this reason. Although, in some cases, it certainly makes sense to buy this vitamin complex."
Irina, a veterinarian with 10 years of experience:
"I call Dufalight liquid meat. It's indispensable for animals that can't eat on their own. This product has helped me treat many animals with various illnesses, and my clients have had positive feedback about it."
