Budget cat food of good quality
Even among budget cat foods, you can find good-quality options. The key is to not just buy the first package you see, but to take a closer look at the ingredients. At roughly the same price, some manufacturers offer a more balanced formula for pets, with more meat and other components necessary for proper feline health.

Blitz
Inexpensive ones include: rations from the domestic manufacturer Blitz, owned by the international holding company Provimi Petfood. The Classic and Sensitive lines, featuring a hypoallergenic formula, are more affordable. A 2-kilogram package starts at 459 rubles. However, due to its low availability, this food is not available in every pet store.
Complete feeds are made using Russian and imported raw materials from trusted suppliers. They contain at least 26% meat components (dehydrated chicken and turkey) without the use of bone. The only carbohydrate sources are rice or corn; soy and wheat are not used. The palatability is ensured by the addition of hydrolyzed poultry liver, not artificial ingredients.

The ingredients are enriched with vegetables, plant extracts, prebiotics, and a vitamin-mineral complex, while being completely free of dyes, GMO components, and flavor enhancers.
Brit Premium
The Brit Premium line of dry and wet food from the Czech company Vafo Praha can be considered a solid middling option. The percentage of meat in this brand's food is very high, especially considering the class of the line. Brit Premium is perfectly suitable for daily feeding of cats. A 1.5 kg package starts at 460 rubles. The food is available not only online but also in most pet stores.
The Brit Premium line offers food for pets of all ages, activity levels, and needs (including those prone to allergies, a lightweight formula for overweight pets, and for sterilized pets). Kitten food with a higher fat and calorie content is also available. Chicken and salmon (in meal form) are typically used as sources of animal protein. Pets with chicken allergies can benefit from a turkey and lamb diet. Grains include rice and corn. The formula also includes vitamin and mineral supplements, herbal and fruit extracts, prebiotics, and natural preservatives.
Gemon
Line Gemon dry and wet food From the Italian company Monge & CSpa, this product is perfect for those looking for affordable, high-quality cat food. The range offers a variety of flavors for cats of all ages. There's also specialized food for sterilized cats, hair removal, urolithiasis prevention, and more.

The manufacturer claims to use fresh meat raised on its own farms. In wet diets, meat components account for at least 45%. In dry kibble, meat or fish components are usually second in the composition, giving way to grains, which are not always clearly identified. The formula also includes fats and oils that improve the condition of the animal's skin and coat, as well as additives to support digestion. The price of a 400g package starts at 165 rubles.
Ontario
Another Czech-made brand, whose range includes both dry and wet rations. The line Ontario You can select food for:
- kittens, pregnant and lactating cats;
- adult animals;
- neutered pets;
- older animals.
The main source of protein in Ontario products is meat ingredients; there is no vegetable protein. Standard premium ingredients also include brewer's yeast, dried apples, a vitamin complex, and yucca schidigera extract.

However, the manufacturer only lists the sources of many product ingredients in general terms (e.g., chicken products, poultry fat, and antioxidants permitted in the EU). The strong odor of the dry pellets may also be considered a drawback.
A two-kilogram package of Ontario dry food starts at 650 rubles. Canned food is available as a supplement, with five varieties available.
Organix
The product is relatively new on the Russian market Organix brand This premium product is quite comparable in price to inexpensive mid-range cat food, starting at 400 rubles for 1.5 kg. Due to its limited availability and non-aggressive marketing, it's rarely found in stores, but it can always be ordered online.
The range includes dry kibble and wet food in the form of stewed meat (for adult animals) and soufflé (for kittens). The former is produced in the Netherlands, the latter in Russia, in the Moscow region.

Organics offers fully balanced nutrition in several flavors and package sizes (from 0.8 to 18 kg). As a premium food, it contains a large number of meat ingredients. Depending on the diet, this may include chicken, chicken meal, lamb, salmon, or dehydrated turkey. Carbohydrate sources include rice and corn meal, and in some diets, corn and barley.
ProBalance
Dry and wet stern ProBalance – one of the best budget-friendly cat food options. The brand belongs to the Danish company Aller Petfood A/S, but the products are manufactured in Russia (with factories located in the Leningrad Region and Tver).
Thanks to its high meat content, ProBalance is rightfully positioned as a premium product, yet remains affordable (a 400g package costs approximately 103 rubles, and a 1.8kg package costs approximately 430 rubles). Furthermore, the ingredients are free of artificial colors and flavors, soy, and GMOs, and the food is ISO 22000 certified. The range includes dry kibble, pouches, and canned foods for adult pets and kittens. Convenient color-coded product lines make choosing the right one easy:
- yellow – daily rations;
- blue – food with additional functions (weight loss, grooming, feeding sterilized animals);
- green – for sensitive digestion and a tendency to allergies;
- purple – for picky pets.

I'd also add "Rodnye Korma" to the selection. It's Russian food, excellent quality, and the ingredients are fantastic! We mostly buy wet food, meat treats, or special treats. The smell is so delicious, and judging by Masik's reaction, the taste is quite good too. And best of all, the price is very reasonable.
