General description
Broadline is a colorless, transparent, or yellowish solution for external use. It comes in a plastic applicator syringe in two different sizes:
- 0.3 ml (used for animals weighing up to 2.5 kg);
- 0.9 ml (used for animals weighing 2.5-7.5 kg).
The applicators are packaged in blisters, packed in cardboard boxes of 1, 3, 4 or 6 pieces and are supplied with instructions for use.
For storage, keep the syringes in their packaging, away from food or animal feed, in a dark place with a temperature between 0 and 30°C. The shelf life under these conditions is 24 months. After this period, do not use the drops.

Operating principle
Broadline's action is ensured by a combination of active ingredients that have demonstrated effectiveness in cats against endo- and eco-parasites:
- Fipronil has a detrimental effect on ectoparasites by blocking GABA-dependent receptors and disrupting the transmission of nerve impulses, resulting in their paralysis and death.
- (S)-methoprene – disrupts the production of chitin and promotes the appearance of anomalies at the egg or larval stages, preventing their development to sexually mature organisms on the body of animals and in premises.
- Praziquantel – promotes the death of gastrointestinal cestodes at any stage of development and their subsequent removal from the cat’s body along with feces.
- Eprinomectin is responsible for binding glutamate-dependent chloride ion channels in the cells of muscle and nerve fibers of parasites, which contributes to cell hyperpolarization followed by paralysis and death.

Broadline Spot-On is classified as a moderately hazardous product. When used in the correct dosage, it will not irritate the skin or cause resorptive or toxic effects. Contact with the eyes may cause minor irritation.
Price
Broadline Spot-On for cats is available at veterinary pharmacies and online pet stores. The price for a 0.3 ml syringe ranges from 490-590 rubles, while the price for a 0.9 ml syringe ranges from 610-670 rubles.

The complex drug Broadline is prescribed for cats when treatment and prevention are necessary:
- helminthic infestations (tapeworms and roundworms);

- cestodiasis (at all stages of parasite development);
- nematodoses caused by pulmonary, gastrointestinal or bladder nematodes;
- acaroses caused by ixodid ticks.
In addition, the drops are successfully used as a preventative measure for dirofilariasis, which is caused by the larvae of Dirofilaria immitis, and as one of the elements in the treatment of allergic dermatitis caused by flea infestation.

A single treatment of an animal allows:
- destroy ticks and fleas within 48 hours and 24 hours respectively;
- prevent re-infestation with ticks and fleas for up to 5 and 7 weeks, respectively;
- prevent the reappearance of fleas in the house or other places where your pet stays – for up to 8 weeks.
Directions for use
The instructions for use indicate that Broadline Spot On drops are applied once through a syringe applicator in a dosage selected according to the cat's body weight according to the following table:

After removing from the packaging, hold the syringe vertically, pull the plunger down, and then twist and remove the tip. Broadline is applied to the withers, along the midline of the neck, between the base of the skull and the shoulder blades. - The use of drops should not be combined with other drugs with antiparasitic action.
- To prevent dirofilariasis, monthly application is recommended. The first application should be made one month before the mosquito season (which carries the disease) begins, and the last application should be made at least one month after the season ends.

Owner reviews
Julia, the cat's owner:
"I've used Broadline on my cat twice, and each time it caused drowsiness, which to me indicates a clear toxic effect. Furthermore, it leaves an oily stain on the withers that lasts up to three days. Nevertheless, it managed to eliminate the already widespread cucumber beetle, which Inspector and StrongholdNow I use Broadline once a year as a stronger remedy, and the rest of the time I prefer milder preparations."
Dina, the owner of two cats:
"Our pets are completely indoors, but we occasionally have to visit the vet, and they love to explore our outdoor shoes, so there's still a chance of picking up parasites. We use the drops as directed once a month and bathe them at the same frequency, and we haven't had any negative reactions. The only thing I'm not entirely happy with is the syringe size. The manufacturer offers two options: for up to 2.5 kg and for 2.5 to 7.5 kg. Our pets weigh 3.2 and 4.2 kg, so we recommend the second option, as the syringe holds a bit too much liquid."
Veterinarian Reviews
Kirill, veterinarian at a private clinic:
"An effective and relatively new product from a trusted French brand that works equally well against endo- and ectoparasites. However, if you're not specifically targeting helminths, I recommend using other topical drops specifically designed for ectoparasites."
Tatyana, a veterinarian with 7 years of experience:
"Broadline is a broad-spectrum drops. A single treatment is usually sufficient to get rid of all possible parasites, including worms, fleas, ticks, and more. However, some clients are put off by the relatively high price. In such cases, we look for more affordable options."
