Brit Premium - dog food
Brit Premium dog food is produced by Vafo Praha (Czech Republic). This privately held company, founded in 1994, currently owns several state-of-the-art pet food production facilities. All Vafo Praha products are ISO 9001 certified (a document certifying the company's management system) and HACCP certified (a document confirming the safety of the products they manufacture).
Feed composition
According to nutritionists and veterinarians, Brit Premium dog food is based on the right combination of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates, made from high-quality natural ingredients, and enriched with nutrients beneficial to the animal's body.
Brit Premium diets include:
- microelements calcium, phosphorus, zinc, copper, iron, iodine, selenium;
- vitamins A, D3, E, which ensure normal metabolism;
- Oligosaccharides are natural prebiotics that maintain optimal levels of natural intestinal microflora and protect against the development of pathogenic microflora;
- glucosamine and chondroitin sulfates, essential for joint health;
- salmon oil - a rich source of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, necessary for many physiological processes;
- brewer's yeast, which has a positive effect on digestion and metabolism;
- Yucca extract, which works in the gastrointestinal tract as an ammonia sorbent (eliminates the unpleasant smell of excrement).
Assortment
The Brit Premium line includes wet and dry food tailored to the specific needs of each pet, including weight, age, and special needs. Brit Premium dog food is priced reasonably for a premium product.
Wet food
Brit Bremium pates and canned food for dogs have earned excellent reviews. They can be used as a standalone dietary element or as a supplement to dry food. The wet food has a wonderful taste and aroma and is easily digested.
In addition to basic nutritional components, most of them contain vitamin and mineral complexes, collagen, salmon oil or fish oil, and fruit. They do not contain salt, GMOs, or artificial flavors.
Among the many food options available for adult dogs, Brit Premium By Nature Dog diets are particularly popular:
- lamb with buckwheat;
- chicken and chicken hearts;
- turkey and turkey liver;
- lamb, chicken, buckwheat and apple;
- beef with tripe.
For puppies, the manufacturer offers Brit Premium by Nature TURKEY & LIVER canned food with turkey and liver and Junior Turkey with Liver pates with turkey, chicken, turkey liver, and chamomile.
Dry food
For puppies and young dogs up to 2 years of age, as well as for pregnant and lactating bitches, depending on the weight category of the animals, the following are intended:
- Junior XL (giant breeds);
- Junior M (medium breeds);
- Junior S food (small breeds).
The food contains chondroitin, glucosamine, salmon oil, brewer's yeast and prebiotics, with a protein content of 42%.
The diets fully meet nutritional needs, help strengthen the immune system, promote optimal weight, and promote strong teeth, bones, and joints.
Food for adult dogs:
- Adult S (small breeds);
- Adult M (medium breeds);
- Adult L, XL (large breeds).
Contains rice, dried chicken, and omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. These complete diets effectively compensate for energy expenditure. Brit Premium dog food for large breeds contains increased amounts of nutrients.
The Premium SPORT diet is designed for dogs with high energy requirements (sports dogs, hunting dogs), as well as animals recovering from illness or surgery. It contains hydrolyzed chicken meat and liver, oats, L-carnitine, omega-3 fatty acids, crustacean shells as a source of glucosamine, herbs, and fruits.
For dogs with sensitive digestion or prone to allergies, Nature Sensitive Lamb & Rice hypoallergenic dry food is recommended. For overweight or sedentary animals, Nature Light Turkey & Oats is recommended.
Senior dry food is specially formulated for senior dogs (over 7 years old). The formula includes fish oil, chondroitin, and glucosamine, which strengthen ligaments and joints, as well as natural probiotics, which support digestive and intestinal health. Nature Senior L+XL is designed for large breeds, while Nature Senior S+M is for medium and small breeds.

"I analyzed Brit Premium food and can say that its composition is quite balanced. The meat content is about 41%, and the total protein content is at least 30%, which is good. Brit diets also include vitamins, microelements, prebiotics, probiotics, and chondroprotectors, while there are no artificial flavor enhancers or flavorings.
It's also important that the food is formulated for dogs of various breeds, ages, weights, and activity levels. Among the diets offered are grain-free options designed for animals with digestive issues or allergies. Brit Premium dog food has received mostly positive reviews, although as a veterinarian, I'm a little confused by the wording of some ingredients, such as "chicken." It's unclear whether this refers to meat or by-products.

The kibble smells great, and he eats it with gusto; he's never refused it. Firstly, it contains a large amount of dried boneless chicken, which is essential for a growing body.
