Bifitrilak for dogs

Bifitrilak is a combination product that combines the properties of a prebiotic, probiotic, and adsorbent. It is used in dogs to treat and prevent gastrointestinal disorders. It is a natural and safe product.

Composition and release form

This product is intended for oral use and is available as a brown powder. Light brown is acceptable. It typically contains characteristic pearlescent particles. It is tasteless and has no residual moisture.

It is packaged in 5g polymer jars. Other packaging sizes (400g and 5kg) are also available, but purchasing them for dogs is generally not practical. Exceptions may be made when the powder is included in the diet of several animals at the same time.

It is recommended to include the food mixture in the diet even after deworming, as parasite waste products can cause intoxication. For preventative purposes, the supplement should be used:

1. When weaning puppies from their mother and switching to a different type of food, to prevent disruption of the gastrointestinal tract.
2. During pregnancy in bitches to obtain healthy offspring.
3. In stressful situations (exhibitions, moving, visiting a veterinary clinic, etc.) to reduce possible unpleasant consequences that may manifest as upset, loss of appetite, nausea, apathy.
4. After chemotherapy and complex operations for a quick recovery of health.

Instructions for use

According to the instructions, Bifitrilak is added to the dog's food or water. It goes well with dry or wet food (prepared or store-bought). The main rule is to avoid heat treatment of the food or water mixed with the powder. Also, do not mix the supplement with hot food. High temperatures kill beneficial bacteria.

The powder is given once a day in the following doses:

1. Adult dogs need 0.3 g (1/3 teaspoon).
2. Large breed puppies will require 0.2 g (1/5 teaspoon).
3. Puppies of small dogs should take 0.1 g (1/10 teaspoon).

If Bifitrilak is used prophylactically, it is given for 3-5 days. For treatment, the course is 5-10 days. If the medication is used during treatment with antibacterial medications, the daily dose should be increased by 50%.

Bifitrilak is approved for use in dogs of all ages, weights, and breeds. It can be included in the diet of pregnant and lactating females and puppies. Use should be avoided in cases of hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. Intolerance to any of the ingredients is also a contraindication, although no cases of allergic reactions have been reported.
