Gray cat

General description

Bifitrilak is a mixture of lacto- and bifidobacteria, a natural mineral, and beneficial substances. It is produced as a granulated powder for oral administration. It is brown in color. The color may be darker or lighter depending on the color of the exfoliated vermiculite. This natural mineral acts as an adsorbent. It may have a pearlescent sheen, but the powder is odorless and tasteless. When added to feed, animals don't even notice it and therefore consume it without any problems.

The powder is packaged in small polymer jars. They have screw-on lids, making them easy to use. Although each jar holds only 5 grams of powder, this amount is sufficient for a long treatment period, as the single dose is minimal.

Composition and pharmacological properties

Bifitrilak is a complex of the following components:

  • lactobacilli;
  • bifidobacteria;
  • macro- and microelements;
  • sugars;
  • sorbents;
  • prebiotic;
  • natural antioxidants.

Each of the substances included in the composition has its own beneficial effect on the animal’s body:

  1. Beneficial lacto- and bifidobacteria help restore intestinal microflora. They also have a pronounced antimicrobial effect, displacing harmful microorganisms. They improve the functioning of the entire digestive system, normalizing metabolic processes and the absorption of nutrients (proteins, fats, carbohydrates), vitamins, and minerals.
  2. Vermiculite has excellent adsorbent properties. The mineral can absorb heavy metal salts, alkaloids, and other harmful substances. It helps the animal's body detoxify in cases of poisoning.
  3. Antioxidants, micro- and macroelements, sugars, and other components stimulate the immune system, increase the body's resistance to stress and external negative factors, and help adapt to new conditions.

Owner reviews

Margarita, owner of an 8-year-old cat:

"Our cat was diagnosed with chronic colitis. During flare-ups, on the veterinarian's advice, we give Laura Bifitrilak. Within 2-3 days, her stool returns to normal, her appetite improves, and she returns to her normal active lifestyle. This food supplement is a lifesaver for us, so we always have it in our medicine cabinet. We usually administer it in 7-day courses. Simply mix a pinch of the product with her wet food."

Vika, the owner of a mongrel cat:

"Our little cat isn't a pedigree cat, but we love him very much. When he lost his appetite and became lethargic, we immediately took him to the clinic. I was worried he'd been poisoned (a cat had died that way before), but it turned out he had gastrointestinal issues from the bagged food. The doctor gave clear recommendations regarding his diet and recommended feeding a prebiotic for 5-7 days to help him adapt to the new diet. At first, he refused boiled chicken and soup, but then he started eating with gusto. The digestive issues disappeared after four days of using the supplement. I recommend it to all pet owners."

Veterinarian Reviews

Vladimir, a veterinarian with 15 years of experience:

"I've been using this food mixture with beneficial bacteria in my practice for a long time. It's excellent for helping animals with infections, dysbiosis, and other digestive issues. I often recommend it to young kittens, especially when changing their diet. Over several years of use, I've never experienced any side effects, and the results are always visible within a couple of days."

Oksana Vladimirovna, veterinarian with 8 years of experience:

"I work in a small provincial town where the selection of medications leaves much to be desired. For gastrointestinal ailments, the feed supplement Bifitrilak MK always comes to the rescue. And although it's inexpensive, it works effectively. I prescribe it not only for cats and dogs, but also for farm animals and poultry."

  • Could you please tell me what kind of food I can add this to? Dry or wet? Thank you.

    • Good afternoon
      We hope you've already found the answer, but to avoid repeating questions, we'll answer them here.
      This preparation can be mixed with any type of feed.

  • The insert in the instructions first mentions probiotics and prebiotics in the description, and at the end of the instructions the composition is indicated: lactose, d-glucose, soy flour, ammonium acetate, dipotassium phosphate, mineral sorbent.
    Where are the probiotics and prebiotics here? Lactose for cats?
